How ordering works
How Design Approval Works Before We Cut Your Fabric
Quick answer
Before we cut anything, we send you a written summary of your measurements and every design detail: neckline, sleeves, lengths, trousers, lining, trims and any embellishment. You check it and agree it. If you chose “advise me” for anything, the summary says exactly what we propose, so there are no surprises.
Why it’s in writing
Most disappointment with stitching comes from a detail that was assumed rather than agreed: a neckline cut deeper than expected, sleeves left unlined, trousers the wrong length. A written approval means you and we are looking at the same list before the scissors come out.
What the approval covers
- Measurements: every number, in the unit you used, including any changes you asked for.
- Kameez: cut, length, neckline shape and depth, sleeves, hem and slits.
- Trousers: style, length, bottom (paincha) and waistband.
- Dupatta: any finishing, such as lace or tassels.
- Lining and trims: which parts are lined, and any piping, lace, buttons or pockets.
- Embellishment: the level you chose (none, delicate, detailed or statement; never bridal).
- Fabric: for Stitching Only, how your pieces will be used, including embroidered neck pieces and borders; for Fabric + Stitching, the fabric agreed with you.
What to check
Read the numbers against your own notes, especially lengths and neck depth. Check anything marked as our suggestion. If a detail isn’t mentioned and it matters to you, ask. It takes a minute now and saves a remake later.
Changing your mind
Until you approve the design, anything can change. Once the fabric is cut, some changes are no longer possible, so if you’re unsure, tell us before approving. Our style guides help you decide on necklines, sleeves and cuts in advance.
Common questions
What happens if I choose “advise me”?
We propose a specific option in your written summary, with a reason, and you approve it or ask for something else.
Can I send screenshots of designs I like?
Yes, please. Upload them with your quote request; they make the approval much quicker.
