Custom dresses, explained
Ordering from the UK works much like any online shop, except that nothing is cut until your own design and measurements are agreed. You can describe a dress you have seen, send a picture of one you own, or ask for a colour or length the shops never stock.

Ordering from the UK →A bespoke dress is cut for one person. Ours start from your measurements and the details you choose: how high the neckline sits, how full the skirt is, whether the sleeves are fitted or loose, and where any embroidery goes. Everything is written into your quote, so there is no guessing on either side.
For dinners, parties and evening events, tell us the occasion and we suggest a fabric with more weight or sheen and embroidery that catches the light, in hand, machine, zari, beadwork or sequins, confirmed for your fabric in the quote.
Personalised can mean a small thing or the whole design. It might be your initials inside the neckline, a monogram on a cuff, or embroidery in colours you picked to match a hijab or a pair of shoes. Tell us what you have in mind and we confirm the size, thread and placement in writing.
Custom, customised or personalised? →Every dress we make is made to order: it starts when you approve and pay for your quote, not before. That is why there are no sizes to sell out of, and why you can ask for changes a ready made dress could never offer. It also means change of mind returns are not possible, so we agree every detail first.

People use the words loosely. With us, every dress is cut to your own measurements and the design details you agree in writing, which is what most people mean by all three. We do not hold in-person appointments: you measure at home with our guide, and we check your numbers before cutting.
Yes. Upload the picture and tell us what to keep and what to change. We agree the shape, fabric and details with you, and your dress follows that agreed design, cut to your measurements, rather than being an exact copy of someone else’s dress.
Not at the moment. For your own wedding day, the one piece we make is a bridal abaya, made to measure on our custom abayas page. Dresses for wedding guests are very welcome.
Yes. A name, initials or a monogram can be embroidered on the dress, for example inside the neckline, on a cuff or at the hem. The letters, thread colour, size and placement are agreed in your written quote.
We make it in 5 to 7 working days once your quote is approved and paid in full. Courier time to the UK comes after that. Your quote already includes delivery and any import VAT, duty and courier fees, so there is nothing to pay when it arrives.
Yes, before cutting. Anything can change before you approve your quote, and small changes before cutting are usually straightforward. If you cancel after paying, tell us straight away. Before your fabric is cut, we refund what you paid, minus the cost of any fabric we have already bought for your order. With Stitching Only the fabric is yours, so nothing is taken off for it. Once cutting has started, the piece is being made for you alone, so cancelling at that stage is not refunded. Because every piece is made to order, a change of mind is not eligible for a return or refund.
If your outfit doesn’t match the measurements or design agreed in your quote, that’s our mistake to put right: we correct it or remake it without charging for the work. Tell us within 7 days of your parcel arriving, with photos. You pay the postage to send it back to us and for the corrected piece to come back to you. Because every piece is made to the measurements and design agreed in writing, please check those carefully before you approve your quote.
