Suits, dresses and separates
We do not keep a separate sharara range. Instead, every suit below can be made with sharara or gharara trousers in place of the pair you see in the picture. Pick the kameez you like, choose the trousers on the order form, and tell us how long you want the top. Short over a sharara looks young and festive; long over a gharara looks more traditional.

Both are wide, floor-length trousers that look almost like a skirt when you stand still. The difference is where the flare starts.
A sharara is wide from the waist or hip all the way down. A gharara sits close to the leg as far as the knee, has a seam there, and then flares out to the floor. On a gharara that knee seam is usually covered with a band of embroidery or lace, so it becomes part of the look.

This matters more than people expect. Over a sharara, a short kurti to the hip or mid-thigh lets the trousers swing and keeps you from looking swamped in fabric. The Blossom Border kurta and the Indigo Geometric Tunic already sit at that length.
Over a gharara, a short top shows the knee band, which is the whole point. A long kameez to the knee also works with either trouser and feels more covered; our guide to a long kameez with sharara or gharara shows how. The ten two-piece suits below the knee can be cut shorter on the order form: just pick the length you want.

Sharara and gharara suits come out for Eid and wedding events. For a mehndi or dholki, the Peach Marigold three-piece and the Maroon Heritage suit have the warm colours people expect. For Eid, the Teal Heritage and Midnight Gold suits carry gold work at the neckline, sleeves and hem, and the karandi suit is a good winter choice.

Send your waist, hip and full length from the waist to the floor, measured in the shoes you will wear. For a gharara we also need the knee position, so the seam lands in the right place. If you have a pair that fits well, measuring that is often easiest.
A sharara or gharara uses a lot more fabric than straight trousers, so the price can change. Any difference is shown in your written quote before you pay. Making takes 5 to 7 working days once your quote is approved and paid in full, then shipping, and your quote includes delivery to your door and any import duties and fees.
