How ordering works
Help Me Measure: Measuring With Us on WhatsApp
Quick answer
“Help me measure” is an option on our stitching quote form for anyone who isn’t confident measuring alone. We message you on WhatsApp and talk you through each measurement, one at a time, then check the numbers with you. Have a soft tape ready and, if you can, someone to help with the shoulder and lengths.
When to choose it
- You’ve never measured yourself for stitching before.
- You’re ordering for your mother, sister or someone else and want to get their numbers right.
- Your measurements have changed and you’re not sure of them any more.
- You tried measuring and some numbers look odd to you.
What to have ready
- A soft tailor’s tape (not a metal DIY tape).
- Light, close-fitting clothes to measure over.
- A helper if possible, for the shoulder, back and lengths.
- The shoes you usually wear with a suit, for kameez and trouser lengths.
- Optionally, a kameez and trousers that fit you well, to compare lengths.
How it works
Choose “Help me measure” when you fill in the stitching quote form. We message you on WhatsApp and go through the measurements in order, explaining where the tape goes for each one, the same points as our measuring guide. You send each number as you take it, in inches or centimetres.
When we have them all, we check that they make sense together and ask you to re-measure anything that looks unusual. The final measurements go into your written design approval, and nothing is cut until you’ve agreed it.
Your privacy
Your measurements are used only to make your order. You don’t need to send photos of yourself to be measured; a number is enough. If you’d like us to keep your measurements for future orders, you can choose that on the form. See our privacy notice.
Common questions
Do I need a video call?
No. Most measurements can be taken by following messages step by step. If a video call would help, ask us.
Can I measure on my own?
Yes. Measure in front of a mirror for bust, waist and hips, and use a kameez that fits you well for the lengths and shoulder.
