From quote to delivery: what happens to your order
What happens between approving your quote and opening the parcel: confirmation, your fabric arriving, cutting and stitching, shipping and checking your outfit.
InspirationThe order process at a glance
Once you approve your written quote and pay in full, your order is confirmed. On Stitching Only, it then waits for your fabric to reach us in Pakistan. After that, the outfit is cut, stitched, finished and checked in 5 to 7 working days, packed and shipped to your address with tracking details, and it arrives with delivery and any import charges already paid through your quote. That is the whole made to measure order process in one paragraph. Below is what each stage involves, what you might hear from us and what, if anything, you need to do.
Before you approve: settling the details
The quiet work happens before any payment. We read your enquiry, check your measurements and ask about anything that looks unclear, such as a sleeve length that seems short for your height or a neckline that would not suit the fabric’s embroidery. On Fabric + Stitching, we describe and photograph the fabric we suggest. Everything agreed goes into the written quote: the design, fabric, measurements, any customisation, the total cost, delivery arrangements, processing time and the policies that apply. Our page on design approval explains this stage in more detail.
Confirmed
Your order is confirmed when you have approved the quote and the full payment has come through by bank transfer, Wise or the card payment link. From here, the design and measurements are fixed. If your plans change, tell us straight away: changes before cutting are usually straightforward, but once cutting begins the piece is being made for you alone.
Awaiting fabric (Stitching Only)
On Stitching Only, there is one extra stage. We have already confirmed that your fabric is suitable, that there is enough and how to send it, so now you post it to us, which you arrange yourself unless your quote says otherwise. Keep the tracking number, label every piece and put your name and quote reference inside. Our guide to posting your fabric for stitching covers packing and the customs declaration. When the parcel reaches us, we check the pieces against the photos you sent, and the making time begins.
In production
This is the 5 to 7 working days. In broad terms, it covers:
- Cutting: the pieces are cut to the agreed measurements, with any border, print or embroidered panel placed as agreed.
- Stitching: seams, neckline, sleeves and hems, plus lining if it is part of your order.
- Finishing: seam finishing, any agreed embellishment or dupatta edging, and pressing.
- Checking: the finished outfit is checked against your quote before it is packed.
Shipped
Your outfit is shipped from Pakistan to your address, and we share the tracking details with you. Shipping time is on top of the making time and depends on where you live; our page on worldwide delivery explains the general picture. Because your quote already includes delivery and any import duties, taxes and customs or courier fees, there should be nothing to pay at the door. If a courier ever asks you for payment, contact us before paying anything.
If you are ordering from the Gulf, the Qatar page shows how this works there, and the same approach applies wherever you are.
When it arrives
Open the parcel and try everything on as soon as you can. Compare the outfit with your quote: the measurements, neckline, sleeves, lengths, lining and any embellishment. Colours can look slightly different from photos because of lighting, cameras and screens, and a small difference in shade is not a fault. If something does not match what was agreed, tell us within seven days of delivery, with photos, and we put it right as our terms set out.

Common questions
Will I hear from you while my order is being made?
We contact you if we have a question, and you can ask about your order at any time. You also receive tracking details once it has been shipped.
Can I change my design after paying?
Tell us as soon as possible. Changes before cutting are usually straightforward, though they can affect the price or timing. Once cutting has started, the design cannot be changed.
What if my fabric is not what the photos showed?
We check your fabric against the photos when it arrives. If anything differs, for example a piece is missing or shorter than expected, we contact you before cutting.
