How to get your unstitched Pakistani suit stitched when you live in the UK, step by step
A step-by-step guide for the UK, Europe and the USA: what to send, how to share measurements, and what a tailor needs to know about your neckline and trousers.
InspirationStitching a branded suit?
Each Pakistani brand labels its unstitched packs a little differently: Alkaram calls them “Ready to Stitch”, Nishat sells single pieces as “Freedom to Buy”, Bareeze sells “3PC Kits”. Our brand stitching guides explain the labels, fabrics and what to send for Khaadi, Gul Ahmed, Sana Safinaz, Maria B and more.
1. Check the pack
Open the suit and lay out the pieces. Note which is the kameez fabric (usually the one with the border or neckline embroidery), the trouser length and the dupatta. Photograph each in daylight; the photos let us confirm the amount of fabric and match thread colours before you post anything.
2. Decide the shape
The big choices are neckline (round, V, boat, square, band collar), sleeve length, kameez length, and trouser style (shalwar, straight, cigarette, wide-leg). If you are not sure, choose “advise me” on the form and we suggest what suits the fabric and the occasion. Our starting silhouettes are a useful shortlist, and the unstitched suit stitching page explains the rest.
3. Share your measurements
Three ways: enter them using the size guide, choose a standard UK size and let us confirm the key numbers, or offer a kameez that already fits you well (we confirm how to send it before you post it). If you are measuring yourself, wear thin clothes and keep the tape snug, not tight.
4. Get a written quote
Submit the stitching quote form with your photos and date. We reply with a written price, with the production time and shipping costs, or with any questions we need answered first. The minimum order is one suit. Design details and measurements are agreed in writing, and nothing is cut until you approve them.
5. Post the suit
Stitching Only has two separate shipping stages, and this is the first: your suit travels to us in Pakistan. Before you post anything, we confirm that the fabric is suitable, that there is enough of it and how to send it, including the address. Use a tracked service, fill in the customs declaration accurately, and put your name and reference inside the parcel.
6. Delivery
The second stage: the finished outfit is shipped from Pakistan to your address in the UK, Europe or the USA. Delivery dates cannot be guaranteed, so leave plenty of time before an event. Try it on straight away and tell us if anything needs attention.
Ordering from the UK, Europe or the USA
The steps are the same wherever you live: every outfit is made in Pakistan and shipped internationally, and there are no shops, studios or fittings in other countries. Quotes are in GBP in the UK, and in US dollars, euros or pounds, as you choose, in Europe and the USA. We confirm the address and what the parcel needs before you post your suit. Your written quote includes delivery of the finished outfit to your address and any import duties and taxes, so there is nothing extra to pay when your parcel arrives.
Common questions
Can you stitch suits from any brand?
Yes. Khaadi, Gul Ahmed, Sana Safinaz, Maria B, Alkaram, Nishat, Sapphire, Limelight, J., Bareeze, Asim Jofa and any other unstitched pack are all suitable, as is fabric bought by the metre.
Do I need to send the dupatta?
Only if you want it finished (edges, lace or tassels) or matched to the kameez. Otherwise keep it at home.
