A capital this compact means you can go from a meeting to a family dinner without going home. A knee-length kameez in cambric with full sleeves and straight trousers handles that easily, and adding a dupatta changes the mood for the evening. A short kurta over cigarette trousers can also be lengthened for a more covered office look.

Humidity in the capital
Manama’s summer is heavy with sea humidity, so fabric that breathes matters more than anything else. Lawn is the coolest option, and an unlined kameez in a darker print avoids the need for a lining. In the mild winter months you can move to linen, which also takes a little neckline embroidery well for gatherings and Eid.

Do you have a boutique in Manama?
No. We have no boutique, shop or tailor in Bahrain. Orders are arranged online or on WhatsApp, and the outfit is made in Pakistan.
