Cloth by the metre from Sham Shui Po
Sham Shui Po’s fabric streets are where many people in Hong Kong buy cloth, sold by the metre or the yard rather than as a ready-cut three-piece. That is fine for a kurta, co-ord or dress, but you need to buy enough length for your design, and width makes a big difference. Before buying, read our notes on fabric widths, or send us the design and we tell you roughly what to look for.
Unstitched suits from Pakistan, bought on a trip or sent by family, are simpler: the kameez, trouser and dupatta pieces are already there, and we check them against your design.
Posting from Hong Kong
Photograph each piece in daylight with its length and width, and wait for our confirmation of suitability, quantity and how to send it before posting. You arrange the courier from Hong Kong. Pack the fabric in a sealed bag inside a sturdy envelope, describe it accurately on the customs declaration as fabric, and keep the receipt and tracking number.
Making starts once your fabric reaches us and your quote is paid, and takes 5 to 7 working days. The outfit then comes back to you as a separate shipment, with its delivery and any import charges in your quote. The general Stitching Only page has more.

Send daylight photos of every piece, with the lengths if you know them, and tell us the design you want.

We confirm it before you post
We check the fabric is suitable and enough for your design, and agree how to send it to Pakistan, before anything goes in the post.

You send it, we make it
Once your fabric reaches us and your quote is paid in full, we cut and stitch it in 5 to 7 working days.

Your outfit comes back
The finished outfit is shipped to you as a second, separate delivery, with delivery and any import charges already in your quote.

Can I send fabric for more than one outfit together?
Yes. Photograph and label each piece, list the outfits on one request, and we confirm all of them before you post a single parcel.
Do I pay for posting my fabric to Pakistan?
Yes. That first shipment is arranged and paid for by you, unless your quote says otherwise. Delivery of the finished outfit back to Hong Kong is in your quote.
