The lawn collection season: when brands release and what to expect

When Pakistani lawn collections usually launch, how volumes, Eid drops and sales tend to work, and how to plan buying and stitching from the UK, Europe or the USA.

How the year usually runs

Most large Pakistani labels follow a similar rhythm, but exact dates change every year and differ from brand to brand. Treat this as a pattern to plan around, not a calendar.

  • Late winter and spring: many brands launch their main lawn collections, often after weeks of previews on social media. Some luxury lawn labels take pre-orders or release on a set launch day.
  • Through the summer: further volumes and smaller drops, often labelled Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and so on, with more printed and everyday designs.
  • Before Eid: festive or Eid collections with more embroidery, chiffon and organza. Eid moves about eleven days earlier each year, so these move with it.
  • Late summer: end-of-season sales as brands clear stock, and some labels also run sales around Pakistan’s Independence Day in August.
  • Autumn and winter: khaddar, karandi, marina and linen collections, plus festive lines for the cooler months. Our winter fabrics guide compares them.

What to expect at launch

Launch weeks are busy. Popular designs, especially embroidered and luxury lawn, can sell out quickly, and a restock is never guaranteed. Websites can be slow on launch day, and international storefronts may carry a narrower range or receive designs later than the Pakistan site.

The catalogue photos show each design stitched and styled for the shoot, not the pack itself. Read the listing for the pieces and lengths, and see our guide to recreating the catalogue look before you fall for a silhouette the fabric may not stretch to. The same design is often offered as a two-piece and a three-piece; our comparison helps you choose.

It also helps to know how collections are organised. Many brands split a season into lines at different levels, from everyday printed basics to heavily embroidered luxury pieces, and the embroidered lines are usually the first to go. If you have your eye on a particular design, note its design code from the listing: several colourways of one design often share a name, and the code is what a stockist or customer service team will ask for.

Timing it from the UK, Europe or the USA

Pakistan’s summer starts earlier than a UK or northern European one, so lawn collections tend to launch well before the warmest weeks in the UK and northern Europe. That works in your favour: buying at launch leaves time for delivery and stitching before you need a summer wardrobe. Production time and shipping costs are confirmed in your written quote before you commit, and we cannot guarantee delivery dates, so leave plenty of time, especially before Eid.

If Eid falls in summer, plan the Eid outfit first and the everyday suits after. Our Eid timeline and planning ahead guide set out the stages, and our spring lawn ideas help you choose what to buy.

Buying at launch or in the sale

Both have their place, and many people do a bit of each.

  • At launch: the full choice, including the most sought-after embroidered designs, and time to have them stitched for the season.
  • In the sale: lower prices on what is left. Unstitched suits have no sizes to run out of, so a sale can be a good time to buy for next year.
  • Check sale packs carefully: make sure every piece on the label is there before the returns window closes.
  • Store them well: our guide to storing unstitched suits keeps sale finds fresh until you are ready.
  • Stitch a season at once: have several suits quoted as one order with one set of measurements through the stitching quote form, then post them together once we have confirmed the fabric and how to send it. The unstitched suit stitching page explains how.

Common questions

When does the lawn season start?

Many Pakistani brands launch their main lawn collections in late winter or spring, with further volumes released through the summer. Exact dates vary by brand and by year, so follow the brands you like for announcements.

Are unstitched suits cheaper in the end-of-season sale?

Often, yes, because many brands reduce remaining stock at the end of a season. The choice is smaller, but an unstitched suit has no size to sell out of, so a sale can be a good time to buy for the following year.

Should I buy lawn in spring if I live in the UK?

Yes, if you want it stitched for summer. Buying when collections launch leaves time for delivery and stitching before the warmest weeks, and your written quote confirms the timing.
