Designing a custom Eid outfit from your own idea
Design a custom Eid outfit around your real day of prayers, visits and cooking: festive details that stay comfortable, colour, dupatta and when to send it.
InspirationDesign around the day you will have
The best way to design a custom Eid outfit is to start from how your day will actually run, then add festive details that do not get in the way. An outfit that looks lovely in a photo but has to be held up, pinned or changed out of by lunchtime is not doing its job. Think through the morning prayer, the visits, the cooking and the evening, and design for all of them.
If you are still collecting ideas, our Eid occasions page has starting points. This guide is about turning an idea into a design you can send.
Walk through your Eid
Before choosing a single detail, picture the day hour by hour:
- Morning prayer: coverage, a dupatta that stays put, and sleeves that do not get in the way.
- Visiting family: you may sit on floors and sofas for hours, so trousers need room and the kameez needs slits that let you sit comfortably.
- In the kitchen: wide bell sleeves and long trailing dupattas are lovely, but not near a stove. Consider elbow sleeves or a dupatta you can take off.
- Weather: Eid falls at different times of year, so it may be a heatwave or a cold, wet day. Fabric and lining should match.
- Photos: the moment everyone wants to look their best, so choose one detail that photographs well.
Festive without being heavy
Eid outfits can carry more colour, finish and movement than everyday wear without being uncomfortable. Choose one focal area and give it the festive treatment: an embroidered neckline, a lace-edged dupatta, a border at the hem, or a flared kalidar cut that swings as you walk. Keep the rest simple.
Our quote form offers levels of embellishment: delicate work at the neckline or sleeves, detailed work at the neckline, sleeves and hem, and a bolder statement finish for Eid and parties. Ask for the effect you want, and we confirm what is possible on your fabric and design in the written quote.
Colour, trousers and dupatta
Eid is a good time for colour: jewel tones, fresh pastels, or a single strong shade with a contrasting dupatta. If you are coordinating with sisters or friends, decide whether you want the same colour, the same design in different colours, or simply a shared palette; our guide to coordinated outfits covers the options.
For trousers, a sharara or gharara feels festive but needs managing on stairs; wide-leg trousers give some of the movement with less fabric; a straight trouser keeps a long kameez elegant. The trouser styles library compares them. For the dupatta, chiffon is light and drapes well, while a heavier fabric stays in place better on a windy day.
Timing your order
Making takes 5 to 7 working days from approval and full payment, and shipping time is added after that, so send your design early rather than in the last fortnight. If you are using your own fabric, it has to reach us in Pakistan first, and the making time starts when it arrives. Our Eid timeline sets out a sensible order of steps, and Eid ul-Adha outfit ideas has inspiration for the second Eid of the year.
Sending your Eid design
Upload your sketch, photos or description on the custom quote form, and tell us about your day: the weather, how much sitting and cooking is involved, and the one detail you care most about. Our Send Your Design service explains how the design is agreed in writing before cutting.

Common questions
When should I send my custom Eid outfit design?
As early as you can. Making takes 5 to 7 working days after approval and full payment, shipping time is added after that, and with your own fabric it must reach us first. Leaving plenty of time also allows for questions about the design.
Can my Eid outfit have embroidery?
Yes, you can ask for delicate, detailed or bolder statement embellishment. We confirm in your written quote what is possible on your fabric and design.
Can I order just a kurta for Eid?
Yes. A single kurta or kameez is a normal order, and so is a two-piece or a full three-piece suit.
