Before you send a suit from Sparkhill or Alum Rock
Boutique packs are not always labelled the way brand websites are, so check what you have. Lay out the kameez fabric, the trouser length, the dupatta and any separate embroidered neckline or border pieces, then photograph each one in daylight. If the shopkeeper cut your fabric from a roll, measure the lengths yourself and note them down.
Send the photos and lengths through the quote form and choose Stitching Only. We confirm the fabric is suitable and enough for your design, and agree how to send it to Pakistan, before anything goes in the post; the finished outfit then comes to you as a separate delivery. Birmingham questions
Are you based in Birmingham?
No. The Gilded Seam has no shop, studio or workroom in Birmingham or anywhere else in the UK. Every garment is made in Pakistan and shipped to your address, and the whole order is arranged online.
Can you copy the shape of a kameez I already own?
Yes, as a guide. Measure the kameez lying flat, add the numbers and a photo to your quote request, and tell us anything you would change, such as a longer sleeve. The final measurements and design are agreed in writing before cutting.
