Ordering several outfits at once: how to plan it

How to order several made-to-measure outfits in one go: labelling fabric, sharing measurements once, outfits for more than one person, and timing a larger order.

One enquiry, several outfits

If you want several outfits made, put them in one enquiry and give the quantity. Your written quote then covers the whole order: each outfit’s design, the fabric, the measurements, the total, the delivery arrangements and the processing time. Grouping them saves you repeating the same steps, and on Stitching Only it means one parcel of fabric to us rather than several. This guide covers how to organise a larger order so that each outfit comes back exactly as you pictured it, whether they are all for you or for several women in the family.

Why grouping helps

  • Measurements checked once: if every outfit is for you, one set of measurements is agreed in writing and used throughout, so the fit is consistent.
  • One conversation: questions about lining, lengths or fabric are answered together.
  • One quote and one payment: the total includes delivery and any import duties, taxes and customs or courier fees, paid in full in advance by bank transfer, Wise or a card payment link.
  • Fewer parcels: on Stitching Only, your fabric can travel to us together; on Fabric + Stitching, nothing needs posting at all.

Labelling each outfit clearly

The biggest risk in a larger order is confusion between outfits, so give each one a short name and use it everywhere: in your notes, on your photos and on the fabric. “Outfit A: blue printed lawn, three-piece, full sleeves” and “Outfit B: plain cambric kurta, elbow sleeves, straight trousers” leave no room for doubt.

  • One line of notes per outfit: the garment, neckline, sleeves, kameez length, trousers, lining and any embellishment.
  • Photos grouped by outfit: fabric and design images labelled with the outfit’s name.
  • Different designs are fine: each outfit can have its own details, or they can share one design in different fabrics.
  • Say what matters most if an outfit is needed for a particular date.

Outfits for more than one person

Ordering for sisters, a mother and daughters who are all adults, or friends? Give each person’s measurements separately, labelled with her name, and say which outfit is hers. Each set of measurements is checked and agreed, just as it would be for a single order. If the outfits need to go to different addresses, say so in your enquiry, and the delivery arrangements are set out in the quote. Our guide to coordinated outfits for sisters and friends has ideas for matching colours and details across a group.

Several suits on Stitching Only

If you are sending your own fabric, photograph every pack, including the labels, and wait until we have confirmed that each one is suitable and sufficient before posting anything. Then pack each suit in its own labelled bag, with the outfit’s name inside, and send them together if you can. The making time counts from when your fabric reaches us, so one parcel keeps things simple. Our guide to posting your fabric for stitching covers the customs declaration, and the Stitching Only service explains the rest.

If you would like some outfits made from your fabric and others from fabric we supply, say so in your enquiry, and the quote sets out how it is arranged.

Timing a larger order

Making takes 5 to 7 working days from approval and full payment (and, on Stitching Only, from your fabric arriving), and your quote states the processing time for your whole order. Shipping comes on top and varies by destination. Larger orders are often for Eid, which is also the busiest time of year, so start early; the Eid page has ideas, and our Eid planning timeline works backwards from the day.

Families in Bradford and across Canada often send a season’s worth of suits at once. To start, request a Stitching Only quote and list every outfit.

Common questions

Is there a maximum number of outfits per order?

Tell us how many you have in mind when you enquire. Your written quote covers the whole order, including the processing time and delivery arrangements.

Can each outfit have a different design?

Yes. Give each outfit a short name and list its details separately, so there is no confusion between them.

Can I order outfits for my sisters in the same order?

Yes. Send each person’s measurements separately, labelled with her name, and say which outfit is for whom.
