The Gilded Seam: Custom Women’s Stitching

Stitching Only · Canada

Stitching for your own fabric in Canada

An unstitched suit in a Canadian wardrobe often has a story: a shop on Gerrard Street East, Scott Road or Main Street, a brand’s website, or a relative’s suitcase after a trip to Pakistan. Stitching Only turns that fabric into an outfit cut to your measurements. Because the work happens in Pakistan, your suit makes a return journey, and a little preparation keeps it smooth.

  • Made in Pakistan, shipped to Canada
  • 5 to 7 working days to make, plus shipping
  • Quote currency agreed with you

From Canada

Stitching Only for Canada

You supply an unstitched suit or fabric, and we cut, stitch and finish it to your measurements.

Sizes, delivery and sending fabric from Canada: ordering from Canada.

Before your fabric leaves Canada

Measure each piece and photograph it in daylight; Canadian winter light indoors can make colours look flat or yellow. Include any separate embroidered panels or borders. We confirm the fabric suits your design and there is enough of it, and agree how to send it, before you post anything.

You book the shipment yourself, with Canada Post or a courier. Pick a tracked service, keep the tracking number, describe the contents honestly on the customs form with their real value, and put a note with your name and quote reference inside. Our guide to posting your fabric for stitching has more detail.

Timing and winter suits

The 5 to 7 working days of production start only once your fabric reaches us and your quote is paid in full, and the trip to Pakistan and the trip back both add time. For Eid or a family wedding you are attending, send the photos early.

If you have a heavier suit, such as khaddar or karandi brought back for the Canadian winter, ask for a lining and full sleeves when you order. If your fabric turns out not to be suitable, Fabric + Stitching is the alternative.

How it works

Stitching Only step by step

  1. 01

    Photograph your fabric

Send daylight photos of every piece, with the lengths if you know them, and tell us the design you want.

  2. 02

We confirm it before you post

We check the fabric is suitable and enough for your design, and agree how to send it to Pakistan, before anything goes in the post.

  3. 03

You send it, we make it

Once your fabric reaches us and your quote is paid in full, we cut and stitch it in 5 to 7 working days.

  4. 04

    Your outfit comes back

The finished outfit is shipped to you as a second, separate delivery, with delivery and any import charges already in your quote.

  • Single pieces welcome

One outfit is enough. No minimum bundle.

  • Full payment in advance

You pay once you’ve approved your quote, before we cut anything.

  • 5 to 7 working days to make

Production time only. Shipping is added on top.

  • Delivered worldwide

Delivery and import charges are included in your quote.

Can I send several suits in one parcel?

Yes, once we have confirmed each of them. List them in one enquiry, and include a note inside the parcel saying which suit is which.

Do I pay import charges on the finished outfit?

No. Delivery of the finished outfit to your Canadian address and any import duties, taxes and customs or courier fees are included in your written quote.

Is anything deducted if I cancel?

If you cancel before cutting, you are refunded, and with Stitching Only nothing is deducted for fabric. There is no refund once cutting has started.
