Fancy work and embellishment in Denmark
Scandinavian taste tends towards less, and many customers in Denmark want embellishment that respects that: one considered detail rather than a busy surface. Others want an Eid outfit that feels properly festive. Fancy work covers both, as embroidery, lace or a border worked into a garment we are making for you in Pakistan. It comes only with an outfit we stitch, never as a separate job.

Three levels, and where each fits in Denmark
Delicate means a little work at the neckline or on the sleeves. It is the level for a kurta worn to the office in Aarhus or a lecture in Odense, perhaps a narrow lace trim on the cuffs of a summer set. Detailed spreads the work across the neckline, sleeves and hem, which suits Eid morning or a dinner with in-laws. Statement is the boldest option, for Eid parties and celebrations you attend as a guest; outfits for brides are not something we make.
Two Danish habits are worth planning for. On a bicycle, the hem and inner sleeve rub against the saddle and handlebars, so keep heavier work higher up. Through the long winter a coat hides most of an outfit outdoors, which is why a worked neckline or a dupatta with a border often gives the most pleasure.
Settling the details
Pick a level on the form, or ask us to recommend one, and attach a picture of work you admire. We confirm in the written quote what your fabric and design can carry, and where the work sits is fixed in writing before any cutting. Light fabrics such as lawn take lace well; winter cloth is better suited to embroidery. The net and lace fabrics guide and our Eid ideas are good places to look.
Embellishment is priced as part of the outfit, and the quote already covers delivery and EU import charges, as set out on the Denmark page. Custom stitching explains the wider service; ask for a quote.
How it works
Fancy work step by step
- 01
Choose the level
On the quote form, pick delicate (neckline or sleeves), detailed (neckline, sleeves and hem), statement (bolder work for Eid and parties), or ask us to advise.
- 02
Show us the look
Add a reference photo of the embroidery, lace or border you like. What is possible on your fabric and design is confirmed in your written quote.
- 03
Agreed before cutting
The placement and amount of embellishment are agreed in writing with the rest of the design, and quoted as part of the outfit.
- 04
Made with the outfit
The work is done in Pakistan as part of stitching your outfit, which is then shipped to you. We do not embroider garments on their own.

FAQ
Fancy work questions
Cities in Denmark
Could you embroider a ready-made kameez I own?
Sorry, no. Fancy work is part of making a new outfit for you; we do not work on finished clothes or make standalone patches.
When should I order an embroidered Eid outfit?
Early. The making, embroidery included, takes 5 to 7 working days from full payment, then the parcel needs time to reach Denmark. Write your Eid date on the form.
