Delicate work at the neckline or sleeves is enough for everyday elegance, a work function or Friday prayers. Detailed work, covering the neckline, sleeves and hem, suits Eid visits and family events. Statement work is bolder, for Eid parties and celebrations, and is always for guests rather than brides.
Heat, lining and embellishment
In Mombasa or Kisumu, heavy work on a lined kameez can feel warm by midday, so a light border on lawn is often the better choice. Nairobi’s cooler evenings let you wear more detail on linen or a heavier fabric. A delicate line at the hem can always be taken up a level for a bigger occasion.
Send a reference photo of the embroidery, lace or border you like. The placement and amount are then agreed with the rest of the design and priced as part of the outfit.

Add a reference photo of the embroidery, lace or border you like. What is possible on your fabric and design is confirmed in your written quote.

Agreed before cutting
The placement and amount of embellishment are agreed in writing with the rest of the design, and quoted as part of the outfit.

Made with the outfit
The work is done in Pakistan as part of stitching your outfit, which is then shipped to you. We do not embroider garments on their own.

Fancy work questions
Can you add embroidery to a dress I bought in Nairobi?
No. We only add fancy work to outfits we are stitching ourselves, and we do not embroider finished garments.
Is fancy work possible on fabric I send?
Usually, yes. With Stitching Only we can add embroidery, lace or a border to your own fabric, and your quote confirms what works on it.
