Inland summers are fierce and dry, so a loose lawn kameez with full sleeves and a light dupatta protects from the sun without trapping heat. Nights from December to February, especially out at a desert camp, can be properly cold. That is when karandi or khaddar, with a lined kameez and a shawl-weight dupatta, earns its place.
A two-piece co-ord in khaddar with full sleeves and wide-leg trousers is a comfortable choice for winter days at home.
Fewer trips into the city
Driving in to a tailor, then back again for a correction, can swallow a whole weekend from Jahra. Is Jahra too far out for delivery?
