The Gilded Seam: Custom Women’s Stitching

Stitching Only · South Africa

Stitching for your own fabric in South Africa

Plenty of South African wardrobes have a suit or two still in its pack: bought in Fordsburg or Durban, ordered from a Pakistani brand online, or brought back by family after a visit. With Stitching Only we turn that fabric into a finished outfit cut to your measurements.

  • Made in Pakistan, shipped to South Africa
  • 5 to 7 working days to make, plus shipping
  • Quote currency agreed with you

From South Africa

Stitching Only for South Africa

You supply an unstitched suit or fabric, and we cut, stitch and finish it to your measurements.

Sizes, delivery and sending fabric from South Africa: ordering from South Africa.

Check the pack before you photograph it

Lay everything out: the kameez front, back and sleeves, the trouser fabric, the dupatta and any separate neckline or border panels. Missing a piece changes what we can make, so tell us what is there. Daylight photos and the lengths, if you know them, let us confirm the fabric suits your design and there is enough of it.

Couriering it from South Africa

Only once we have confirmed the fabric and agreed the sending arrangements should you book a courier to Pakistan. That first shipment is yours to arrange. Describe the contents honestly on the customs form, for example as unstitched dress fabric for personal use, pack it in a sealed bag inside the box, and send us the tracking number.

Your outfit then makes a second journey back to you, with delivery and any import charges already in your quote. Our guide to posting your fabric for stitching has more packing advice.

Allow time for two journeys

The 5 to 7 working days of making start when your fabric reaches us, so the outbound courier time comes first. For Eid or a family wedding, start early, or consider Fabric + Stitching if the date is close.

How it works

Stitching Only step by step

  1. 01

    Photograph your fabric

Send daylight photos of every piece, with the lengths if you know them, and tell us the design you want.

  2. 02

We confirm it before you post

We check the fabric is suitable and enough for your design, and agree how to send it to Pakistan, before anything goes in the post.

  3. 03

You send it, we make it

Once your fabric reaches us and your quote is paid in full, we cut and stitch it in 5 to 7 working days.

  4. 04

    Your outfit comes back

The finished outfit is shipped to you as a second, separate delivery, with delivery and any import charges already in your quote.

  • Single pieces welcome

One outfit is enough. No minimum bundle.

  • Full payment in advance

You pay once you’ve approved your quote, before we cut anything.

  • 5 to 7 working days to make

Production time only. Shipping is added on top.

  • Delivered worldwide

Delivery and import charges are included in your quote.

FAQ

Stitching Only questions

Can I send several suits in one parcel?

Yes, as long as we have confirmed every one of them before you post. List them on one request so they are quoted together.

What if my fabric is not enough for the design I want?

We tell you before you send it, and suggest a design that works with what you have, such as a shorter kameez or a different sleeve.
