Getting the most from Alkaram Studio

Before you cut
“RTS | Shirt & Dupatta” has no trouser fabric; if you want trousers too, include suitable plain fabric, and we confirm there is enough before you send it.

Pieces and pairing
Basics and Essentials are ideal for batch stitching: list several on one quote request with one set of measurements, and send them together once we have confirmed them.

Finishing
Printed lawn with a chiffon dupatta is common; we finish the chiffon edge so it does not fray.

What to send us
Photos of every piece in daylight, the label or listing showing the lengths, your measurements (or a kameez that fits), and screenshots of styles you like.

Can you stitch a Alkaram Studio unstitched suit?
Yes, through our Stitching Only service, for customers in the UK, the USA and Europe. Send photos of the Alkaram Studio pack and its label with the style you want, and we confirm the fabric is suitable and enough for your design and send a written quote. Once it is confirmed, you post the suit to us in Pakistan, and we stitch it to your measurements and ship the finished outfit to you.
Does it matter where I bought my Alkaram Studio suit?
No. A Alkaram Studio pack bought in the UK, the USA, Europe or Pakistan is stitched in exactly the same way. Wherever you are, ask us before you send it: we confirm the fabric and the sending arrangements first, because the suit travels to us in Pakistan and the finished outfit is then shipped to you.
How do I tell if a Alkaram Studio product is unstitched?

Which Alkaram Studio fabrics can you stitch?
All of the fabrics in the range, subject to a check that yours suits the design you want. Alkaram Studio’s unstitched range includes lawn, cambric, chiffon, khaddar and karandi; each needs a slightly different cut, seam finish or lining, and we confirm it before you send the suit.
Is The Gilded Seam connected to Alkaram Studio?
No. The Gilded Seam is independent: we make made-to-measure women’s clothing in Pakistan for customers in the UK, the USA and Europe. We name Alkaram Studio only because customers send us their unstitched suits to be stitched; we do not sell Alkaram Studio products.
