Getting the most from Maria B

Before you cut
Maria B lawn often has a dense embroidered front and a separate border; keep every offcut in the pack when you send it.

Pieces and pairing
Chiffon and organza dupattas need a narrow rolled edge rather than a hem; we finish them to match.

Finishing
For everyday wear we usually suggest a relaxed straight kameez so the embroidery stays the focus.

Maria B stitching questions
Can you stitch a Maria B unstitched suit?
Yes, through our Stitching Only service, for customers in the UK, the USA and Europe. Send photos of the Maria B pack and its label with the style you want, and we confirm the fabric is suitable and enough for your design and send a written quote. Once it is confirmed, you post the suit to us in Pakistan, and we stitch it to your measurements and ship the finished outfit to you.
Does it matter where I bought my Maria B suit?
No. A Maria B pack bought in the UK, the USA, Europe or Pakistan is stitched in exactly the same way. Wherever you are, ask us before you send it: we confirm the fabric and the sending arrangements first, because the suit travels to us in Pakistan and the finished outfit is then shipped to you.
How do I tell if a Maria B product is unstitched?
Unstitched suits are named “3 Piece Unstitched Embroidered Lawn Suit” or “3 Piece Unstitched Printed Lawn Suit” with a design code such as MPT or BD.
Which Maria B fabrics can you stitch?
All of the fabrics in the range, subject to a check that yours suits the design you want. Maria B’s unstitched range includes lawn, jacquard lawn, cambric, linen, karandi, chiffon, organza and velvet; each needs a slightly different cut, seam finish or lining, and we confirm it before you send the suit.
Is The Gilded Seam connected to Maria B?
No. The Gilded Seam is independent: we make made-to-measure women’s clothing in Pakistan for customers in the UK, the USA and Europe. We name Maria B only because customers send us their unstitched suits to be stitched; we do not sell Maria B products.
