Getting the most from Asim Jofa

Before you cut
Silks such as crepe and katan need lining and a lighter press; tell us the exact fabric from the label.

Pieces and pairing
Arabic and Swiss lawn are finer than standard lawn; we use a narrower seam finish.

Finishing
For daily wear we keep designer prints to simple cuts so the fabric does the talking.

Can you stitch a Asim Jofa unstitched suit?
Yes, through our Stitching Only service, for customers in the UK, the USA and Europe. Send photos of the Asim Jofa pack and its label with the style you want, and we confirm the fabric is suitable and enough for your design and send a written quote. Once it is confirmed, you post the suit to us in Pakistan, and we stitch it to your measurements and ship the finished outfit to you.
Does it matter where I bought my Asim Jofa suit?
No. A Asim Jofa pack bought in the UK, the USA, Europe or Pakistan is stitched in exactly the same way. Wherever you are, ask us before you send it: we confirm the fabric and the sending arrangements first, because the suit travels to us in Pakistan and the finished outfit is then shipped to you.
How do I tell if a Asim Jofa product is unstitched?

Which Asim Jofa fabrics can you stitch?

Asim Jofa’s unstitched range includes lawn, slub lawn, arabic lawn, swiss lawn, cambric, crepe silk, katan silk, raw silk, chiffon and organza; each needs a slightly different cut, seam finish or lining, and we confirm it before you send the suit.
Is The Gilded Seam connected to Asim Jofa?
No. The Gilded Seam is independent: we make made-to-measure women’s clothing in Pakistan for customers in the UK, the USA and Europe. We name Asim Jofa only because customers send us their unstitched suits to be stitched; we do not sell Asim Jofa products.
