Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin on or around Monday 8 February 2027, which puts Eid al-Fitr on Tuesday 9, Wednesday 10 or Thursday 11 March 2027. Which of those days it lands on depends on the moon, and on whose announcement your mosque follows. Some UK communities go by a local sighting, others follow Saudi Arabia, and that alone can move Eid by a day.
None of that is confirmed until the night itself. For planning an outfit, the useful number is the earliest likely date: assume Eid could be Tuesday 9 March and work back from there. If it turns out to be a day later, you simply have one more day.
Work back from the earliest date
A made-to-measure outfit has three stages. First we agree the design, fabric and measurements and send you a written quote. Once you approve it and pay in full, making takes 5 to 7 working days. We cannot promise a delivery date, so the honest advice is to order early. January is the sweet spot: the rush has not started, you are not fasting yet, and there is time to sort out any question about the design without pressure. Early February still works if you send your measurements straight away. Leaving it until the middle of Ramadan is where people get caught out.
If your measurements have changed since last Eid, take them again before you order. What to wear for a March Eid
In the UK, early March is still cold in the morning and often wet, so think about the coat you will wear over your outfit on the way to prayers. A three-piece or a co-ord in a mid-weight fabric is easier than something sheer. In the Gulf, March is warm and pleasant, which suits lighter fabrics and long, easy shapes.
If you like an abaya for Eid, the Eid abayas have gold thread work in deep colours, each with a matching scarf.
