How to order a custom abaya online, step by step

Step 1: your enquiry

The first enquiry is short. On the quote form you give:

• Your name, email, country and city.
• The garment (abaya) and how many you want. One piece is enough.
• Fabric + Stitching, where we supply the agreed fabric, or Stitching Only, where you send your own.
• Photos, screenshots or a sketch of the design, and notes on length, sleeves, front opening and anything else.
• Your measurements in centimetres or inches, or a standard UK size we then confirm with you. Our guide on how to measure for an abaya explains each one.

Step 2: the written quote

We reply with a written quote that sets out the agreed design, the fabric, your measurements, any customisation, the total cost, the delivery arrangements, the processing time and the policies that apply. The total includes delivery to your address and any import duties, taxes and customs or courier fees at your end, so nothing is left to pay when the parcel arrives.

The currency depends on where you live. UK customers are quoted in pounds. Customers in the USA, Europe and the Gulf countries of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain choose dollars, euros or pounds. Elsewhere, including Oman, the currency is agreed with you. Step 3: approval and full payment

Read the quote with your tape measure and your design photos beside you. If anything is wrong, from the length to the sleeve shape, say so now; the design approval step exists for exactly this. Once you are happy, you approve the quote and pay in full, by bank transfer, Wise or a card payment link.

If you cancel a paid order before cutting begins, you are refunded minus the cost of any fabric already bought for your order (nothing is deducted for fabric on Stitching Only). Once cutting has started, there is no refund. The payment and cancellations page has the details.

Step 4: making your abaya

Production takes 5 to 7 working days. With Fabric + Stitching, the days start once the quote is approved and paid in full. With Stitching Only, they start once your fabric has reached us in Pakistan; we confirm that the fabric is suitable, how much is needed and how to send it before you post anything. This is production time only. We do not take rush orders, so if you need the abaya for Eid or a family event, start early.

Step 5: shipping to you

When your abaya is finished, it is shipped to the address you gave when the order went ahead. Shipping time is separate from making time and varies by destination; see worldwide delivery.
