Paying in pounds: how UK quotes and payment work

How UK orders are quoted and paid: a written quote in GBP, payment by bank transfer, Wise or card link, import charges included, and cancellation and fault terms.

UK quotes, in brief

If you order from the UK, your quote is written in pounds sterling and you pay in pounds. The total includes making the outfit, delivery to your address and any import duties, taxes and customs or courier fees, so there is nothing extra to pay when your parcel arrives. Payment is made in full, in advance, by bank transfer, Wise or a card payment link, and production starts once the quote is approved and paid.

Customers in the USA, Europe and the Gulf choose between dollars, euros and pounds; our guide to paying from abroad covers them. This article is for UK addresses.

What your written quote shows

Every order is quoted individually, because every outfit is different. Before you pay, the quote sets out:

  • The agreed design: neckline, sleeves, lengths, trousers, lining and any embroidery.
  • The fabric: ours with Fabric + Stitching, or yours with Stitching Only.
  • Your measurements, exactly as the outfit will be cut.
  • The total cost in GBP, with delivery and import charges included.
  • Delivery arrangements and production time, plus the policies that apply.

Ways to pay

UK customers can pay by bank transfer, through Wise, or with a card payment link we send. Use the reference given in your quote so the payment is matched to your order. Payment is taken in full before any garment is made; there are no deposits or instalments.

Read the quote properly before paying. Our guide to what your written quote includes lists what to check, and design approval explains how the details are agreed.

Import charges are already in the price

Because the outfit is made in Pakistan, it arrives in the UK as an import. GOV.UK explains that VAT is charged on goods sent from outside the UK, that customs duty applies above a set value, and that the delivery company normally contacts the recipient to collect what is owed. With us, those charges are included in your quote and the parcel is sent with them paid.

If a courier ever asks you to pay something on delivery, contact us before paying. We do not give tax advice, so for questions about your own situation, GOV.UK is the place to start.

Changing your mind, and if something goes wrong

If you cancel a paid order before cutting starts, you are refunded minus the cost of any fabric already bought for the order; with Stitching Only nothing is deducted for fabric. Once cutting has started, there is no refund. The full terms are on payment and cancellations.

If the finished outfit does not match the agreed measurements or design because of our mistake, we correct or remake it without charging for the work. Tell us within seven days of delivery; you pay the postage both ways.

From enquiry to payment, step by step

Paying is the last step, not the first. A typical UK order runs like this:

  • Enquiry: your name, email, city, the garment, quantity, service option, photos and notes. Your full delivery address is only needed once the order goes ahead.
  • Questions: we ask about anything unclear, such as a measurement that looks unusual or a design detail that depends on your fabric.
  • Written quote in GBP: everything agreed, with the total including delivery and import charges.
  • Approval and payment: you approve the quote and pay in full; with Stitching Only you also post your fabric once we confirm it.
  • Making and delivery: 5 to 7 working days of production, then shipping to your door, with nothing further to pay.

Prices on our own designs

A few of our ready designs, such as the tiered maxi dress, show a price on their page. Those prices are set in pounds, so UK visitors see the figure that applies to them, plus delivery. Everything else, from a simple kurta to an embroidered three-piece, is quoted individually, because the fabric, the design and the amount of work differ every time.

Before you ask for a quote

Have your measurements, photos and notes ready, and decide whether you want Fabric + Stitching or to send your own suit. There are no free samples, so your first order is a real outfit. When you are set, the UK page has the details and you can request a quote in pounds.

Common questions

Can I pay in euros or dollars from the UK?

No. UK quotes are issued and paid in pounds sterling. Customers in the USA, Europe and the five Gulf countries can choose dollars, euros or pounds.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No deposit is taken. The full amount is paid in advance, once you approve the written quote, by bank transfer, Wise or a card payment link.

Will I have to pay customs or VAT when my order arrives in the UK?
