Pakistani suits in Doha: your options

If you want Pakistani suits in Doha, you have three routes: buy ready-to-wear in a standard size, buy an unstitched suit and find someone to sew it, or have the outfit made to your measurements from the start. We do the third, online. Your shalwar kameez, kurta or co-ord is cut and stitched in Pakistan and couriered to your address in Qatar. We have no shop, studio or tailor in Doha, so everything is agreed by message and in a written quote, and one outfit on its own is a normal order.

This guide walks through the choices to make before you ask for a quote, so that the outfit that arrives at your flat in Al Sadd or your villa in Al Rayyan is the one you pictured. The Qatar page covers delivery and the official import sources, and the Doha page has notes for the city itself.

Ready-made, unstitched or made to measure?

Ready-to-wear is quick when your shape matches the brand’s size chart, but sizes vary between labels and the length is fixed. An unstitched suit gives you the fabric and print you like, and then the work of getting it sewn. Made to measure takes longer than walking into a mall, because the outfit is made for you, but you choose the neckline, sleeves, length and trousers, and it is cut to your own numbers.

If you are torn, our guides to stitched and unstitched suits and to brand size charts against made to measure set out the trade-offs in more depth.

Four ways to order from Qatar

Pick the route that matches what you already have. Each one has its own page for Qatar.

  • Fabric + Stitching: we supply the agreed fabric and make the outfit, so only the finished piece travels. See fabric and stitching in Qatar.
  • Stitching Only: you already own the fabric, perhaps an unstitched lawn suit bought in Doha or brought back from a trip. Once we confirm it, you send it to us in Pakistan. See stitching your own fabric.
  • Your own design: a screenshot, a sketch or a few lines describing what you want. See custom design for Qatar.
  • One of our designs, changed: start from our designs and ask for a different neckline, sleeve, length, trouser or lining. See customisation.

What to decide before you ask for a quote

A clear brief makes the written quote quicker and more accurate. Think about these before you start the form:

  • Pieces: a three-piece with dupatta, a two-piece kameez and trousers, or a single kurta.
  • Where you will wear it: a desk in West Bay, a family dinner, a gathering at Katara. The setting decides how dressy the fabric and finish should be.
  • Neckline and sleeves: browse the neckline guide and the sleeve guide and note the names you like.
  • Kameez length: knee, mid-calf or longer. Our article on kameez length for your height helps.
  • Trousers: shalwar, straight trousers, cigarette pants or palazzos, all shown in the trouser styles.
  • Lining and embroidery: whether you want lining, and whether you want embroidery, lace or a border. Fancy work for Qatar explains the levels; we confirm what is possible on your fabric and design in the quote.

Measuring at home

There is no try-on stage, so your measurements carry the weight. Use a soft tape, measure over light clothing and keep to one unit, centimetres or inches, all the way through. The size guide shows where each measurement is taken, and if you would rather not do it alone, measuring help explains how we can talk you through it.

If you already own a kameez that sits exactly as you like, you can measure that garment as well. Sending a sample kameez explains how a well-loved piece can guide the new one.

Quote, payment and timing

Your written quote lists the agreed design, fabric, measurements, any changes you asked for, the total, the delivery arrangements and the production time. Customers in Qatar choose whether it is issued in US dollars, euros or pounds sterling. The total already includes delivery to your address and any duties, taxes and courier fees, so there is nothing to pay when the parcel reaches you.

You pay in full once you approve the quote, by bank transfer, Wise or a card payment link. We then make the outfit in 5 to 7 working days. Courier time to Doha, Al Wakrah or Al Khor is extra and varies, so give yourself room if you have a date in mind. Worldwide delivery explains how the two stages add up. When you are ready, start on the Qatar quote form.

Common questions

Is there anywhere in Doha to see the clothes first?

No. We have no shop, showroom or tailor in Qatar. The design, fabric and measurements are agreed with you in writing before anything is cut, and the outfit is made in Pakistan.

Can I order a single kurta rather than a full suit?

Yes. The minimum order is one piece, so a single kurta, kameez or full three-piece suit can each be ordered on its own.

Which currency will my quote be in?

If you live in Qatar, you choose US dollars, euros or pounds sterling, and the written quote is issued in that currency.
