Designs that adapt well to a Finnish winter

Browse our designs and look first at the shape, then at what would need changing for the cold. Short or elbow sleeves can become full length, a short kurta can drop to the knee, and almost any piece gains warmth from a lining. The tiered maxi dress, in light chiffon with full balloon sleeves, is a good example: ask for a lining and it becomes far less sheer and much warmer to wear indoors through the winter.

For Eid or a party, add a higher embroidery level rather than a heavier cloth, and wear the outfit with a warm shawl between the car and the door.

Changes worth making for boots and coats

Wide or flared trousers can be awkward with winter boots, so many customers switch to straight or cigarette trousers. A lining adds warmth without bulk under a padded coat, and leaving out the dupatta, making a three-piece into a two-piece, suits those who wear a scarf outdoors anyway.

    Change the pieces (add a dupatta or waistcoat), the neckline, the sleeves, the kameez length, the trouser style, the lining or the embroidery level.

    Your fabric or ours

    Choose Fabric + Stitching, where we supply the agreed fabric, or Stitching Only, where you send suitable fabric after we have confirmed it.

    Made to your measurements

    The final design and measurements are agreed in writing, and the outfit is made in 5 to 7 working days once your quote is paid, then shipped to you.

  • Full payment in advance

    You pay once you’ve approved your quote, before we cut anything.

Can I change the fabric of a design?

Yes. Choose Fabric + Stitching and tell us the fabric you want, or Stitching Only and send your own once we have confirmed it.

Can I combine parts of two designs?

Changes are limited to the quote form choices, such as neckline, sleeves and trouser style, so you could swap a round neckline for a band collar. For a design of your own, use Send Your Design instead.
