Mild, damp and changeable
Auckland rarely gets very hot or very cold, but it is humid and showers come and go all year. Cambric and linen are good all-rounders: they breathe in the muggy summer and layer under a raincoat in winter. Keep lawn for January and February, when the air is warm and close, and add a lining to a light-coloured kameez if you want it less sheer.
For an office in the CBD, a straight kurta with cigarette trousers looks tidy on the ferry or the bus. At the University of Auckland or AUT, a shorter kurta over jeans gets the most use.
Getting a suit from Pakistan made up
If you have unstitched packs brought back by family or ordered from a Pakistani brand, Stitching Only is the route. Upload daylight photos of every piece through the quote form. We confirm the fabric is suitable and long enough for your design, and agree how to send it, before it goes anywhere.
You then arrange the courier from Auckland, keep the customs description true to what is inside, and hold on to the tracking number. The finished outfit comes back to you as a separate delivery.

Can I meet you in Auckland to talk about the design?
No. We have no shop, studio or tailor in Auckland or anywhere in New Zealand. The design is agreed in writing online or by message, and the outfit is made in Pakistan.
Is there anything to pay when the parcel reaches Auckland?
No. Your written quote includes delivery and any import duties, taxes and fees, so nothing more is due on arrival.
