Quick answers

Ordering from New Zealand

The questions customers ask before their first order, answered for your country.

What can I order?

Women’s clothing made to your measurements: shalwar kameez as two or three pieces, kurtas and kameez, co-ords, outfits for Eid, casual party wear and Western pieces like dresses, skirts, tops and trousers. Start from your own design, a reference photo or one of our designs.

Can I order just one suit?

Yes. One suit is the minimum, and a single kurta or other single piece is accepted as well. We do not send free samples, so your first parcel in New Zealand is the finished outfit. Several pieces can go on one request and be quoted together.

Can you provide the fabric?

Yes. Choose Fabric + Stitching and we find the agreed fabric in Pakistan and make your outfit from it. You see photos and descriptions of the fabric with the quote, and we only cut once you agree. Fabric is supplied only as part of an outfit, not sold separately.

Can I send my own fabric?

Yes, subject to fabric suitability and sufficient quantity. Stitching Only means your fabric travels from New Zealand to us in Pakistan, and the outfit returns to you later as a separate shipment. Message us photos before you post anything, so we can confirm the fabric is right, that there is enough, and how to send it. List the contents truthfully on the customs form.

How do I submit my measurements?

Enter them on the quote form in centimetres or inches, but keep to one unit. Centimetres, the usual unit in New Zealand, are fine. The size guide explains each measurement, and you can add the measurements of a kameez you already like as a cross-check.

How are the design and fit agreed?

In writing, before cutting starts. We agree the neckline, sleeves, kameez length, trousers, lining and any embroidery with you and check your measurements. Every agreed detail is listed in the written quote, so you see exactly what you are paying for.

Where is the clothing made?

In Pakistan. Cutting, stitching, finishing and checking all happen there, and the outfit is then couriered to New Zealand. We have no shop, studio, tailor or agent in New Zealand.

How long does it take, and what does shipping cost?

We take 5 to 7 working days to make your outfit, once your quote is approved and paid in full, or once your fabric reaches us if you chose Stitching Only. Courier time to New Zealand comes on top of that and varies, so we do not promise an arrival date. The cost of shipping is included in your written quote.

Who handles import charges?

We do. The written quote includes delivery to your address in New Zealand and any import duties, taxes and customs or courier fees on the parcel. Nothing more is due when it arrives, and if a courier asks you to pay, check with us first.

How do I request a quote?

Fill in the Request a Custom Quote form from this page, with New Zealand already chosen. Give us your city or town, your design or one of ours, and whether we supply the fabric or you do. We agree the quote currency with you when you enquire. You pay in full and in advance once you approve, by bank transfer, Wise or a card payment link.

Two ways to start

Your design, or one of ours

Send a photo of the outfit you want, or customise one of our designs. Either way it is cut to your measurements and shipped to New Zealand.

    Have something in mind?

Upload a photo, a screenshot or a sketch. We’ll make it as a single piece, cut to your measurements, and agree every detail with you before we start.

  • 02

    Like one of ours?

Pick a design from our collection and change what you want: neckline, sleeves, length or lining. Same care, your version.

One outfit is enough. No minimum bundle.

  • Full payment in advance

You pay once you’ve approved your quote, before we cut anything.

Two ways to order

Our fabric, or yours

Both are made to your measurements. The minimum order is one suit, and we don’t offer free samples.

  • Fabric + Stitching

We supply the agreed fabric and make your outfit to your measurements. One parcel: the finished outfit shipped to you.

    • Fabric agreed with you before cutting
    • Minimum order one suit
    • No need to send anything
  • Stitching Only

You supply suitable fabric, such as an unstitched suit, and we cut, stitch and finish it.

    • Two shipping stages: your fabric to us in Pakistan, then the outfit to you
    • Confirm suitability and quantity before sending
    • Minimum order one suit

In detail

Fabric, delivery and sizes in New Zealand

Wind, rain and a southern winter

New Zealand’s seasons run opposite to Pakistan’s: summer is December to February and winter is June to August. Weather changes fast, and a warm Auckland morning can end in rain. Most of the year a kameez in cambric or linen with full or three-quarter sleeves is the useful middle ground, worn with a jacket or cardigan when the wind picks up.

For winter in Christchurch or Dunedin, ask for khaddar, karandi or marina, and think about a lining. Keep lawn for the warmest weeks. If an outfit is for Eid, check the season first, because Eid moves about eleven days earlier each year.

Making up a suit you already own

Plenty of unstitched suits in New Zealand were carried back from Pakistan or ordered online from Pakistani brands, and some sit in a drawer for years. With Stitching Only we cut and stitch them to your measurements. We confirm the fabric from your photos and agree how to send it; you arrange the courier or post, declare only the fabric on the customs form, describe it accurately and keep the tracking number.

That route means two long journeys. If you would rather avoid the first one, Fabric + Stitching has us supply the fabric, so the outfit arrives in a single parcel.

Delivery and what the quote covers

Your outfit is couriered from Pakistan to your address, whether that is a flat in central Wellington or a rural property. Your written quote covers the delivery and any import duties, taxes and fees on the parcel, so there is nothing to pay on the doorstep. We do not give tax or customs advice and have not set out New Zealand’s import rules here, as we have not confirmed them from an official source.

Give the street address, suburb, town or city and four-digit postcode, with a phone number. At enquiry stage we only need your city or town. Our page on processing and worldwide delivery explains the timing.

Is there anywhere in New Zealand I can try an outfit on?

No. We have no shop, studio or tailor in New Zealand. Your design and measurements are agreed in writing, and the outfit is made in Pakistan and couriered to you.

Do you deliver outside the main cities?

Yes. We deliver worldwide, including to towns and rural addresses in New Zealand. Courier time varies by address, and the delivery cost is in your written quote.

What currency will my quote be in?

For New Zealand, the quote currency is agreed with you when you enquire. The quote gives one total for the outfit, delivery and any import charges, paid in full before we begin.
