Briefing the design well

A photo shows a look, but not always the details that make it. Add a short note covering:

• What you love about it: the sleeve shape, the drape, the colour, the embroidery placement, or everything.
• What you would change: a longer hem, a closed front instead of open, a narrower sleeve, no belt.
• Front views and back views: if you have both, send both. A back view shows yokes, pleats and panels.
• How you will wear it: daily, for work, or for gatherings in Salmiya or Kuwait City, so we can suggest fabric weight.

From photo to written approval

Once we understand the design, we tell you honestly what is possible on your chosen fabric and suggest the closest alternative for anything that is not. Then the written quote sets out the agreed design, fabric, measurements, total cost and delivery arrangements, and nothing is cut until you approve it. We never promise a particular technique from a photo alone. If the abaya you love has heavy decoration, we confirm in the quote what embroidery, lace or border work can be done, at the delicate, detailed or statement level.

Hot summers, cool winters

Kuwait’s summers are among the hottest anywhere, and its winters bring cool evenings and chilly desert wind. That makes two abayas a practical idea: a light, loose one for summer and a heavier one for the winter months. A coat-style abaya with a defined shoulder in a denser fabric looks smart in winter and works over a long-sleeved inner dress. A wide, airy cut in a breathable fabric suits summer days that move between scorching car parks and cold malls.

Describing colour without a sample

We do not send free fabric samples, so the clearest way to agree a colour is to describe it carefully. Photograph something you own in the shade you want, in daylight near a window, and send it with the abaya photo. Words help too: a “warm, brownish black”, a “cool grey with a blue tint” or a “dusty rose, not pink” tells us far more than a single colour name. Screens show colours differently, so a small difference in shade between a photo and the finished fabric is normal, and it is worth keeping in mind when you choose.

Currency, payment and delivery to Kuwait

Kuwaiti customers choose a quote in US dollars, euros or pounds sterling, and pay in full in advance by bank transfer, Wise or a card payment link. Our own policy is that the quote includes delivery to your address and any import charges, so you have nothing more to pay when the courier arrives. Production takes 5 to 7 working days once the quote is approved and paid; shipping time is separate.
