Pakistani suits for Jeddah, cut for the coast

For Pakistani suits in Jeddah, the climate makes most of the decisions. The air off the Red Sea stays heavy and damp for much of the year, so a made-to-measure suit for the city should be in a fabric that breathes, cut with enough ease to keep it off the skin, and lined only where you truly need it. We stitch each outfit to your measurements in Pakistan and courier it to your address in Jeddah, with the design agreed in writing first.

There is no shop or tailor of ours in Jeddah, so everything below is about choices you make on the quote form or in your notes. The Jeddah page has the delivery basics.

Cuts that cope with humidity

In damp heat the problem is not just warmth but cling. A kameez that is close through the waist and hips sticks the moment you step outside, and a tight sleeve feels like a bandage by midday. A few cut choices change that:

  • A-line or gently flared shapes stand away from the body as you move. Compare them in our A-line vs straight kameez guide.
  • Longer side slits let air in when you walk and stop the hem dragging across your legs when you sit.
  • Full sleeves with an easy cuff keep your arms covered without trapping heat at the wrist.
  • Wider trousers such as a shalwar or palazzo are cooler than slim cigarette pants.

Fabric choices for Jeddah

Fine cotton lawn absorbs moisture and dries reasonably quickly, which is why it is the everyday choice for humid weather. Cambric is more opaque and crisper, good for long days indoors. Chiffon and georgette look airy but are often polyester; for an evening they are lovely, but ask for a cotton lining so they do not stick and are not sheer. Our lawn fabric guide explains weights and sheerness.

If you have no fabric yet, Fabric + Stitching means we propose suitable cloth with photos in your quote. If you bought a suit in the old souks of Al Balad, or a relative brought one from Pakistan, Stitching Only works once we have confirmed it from your photos.

Evenings, gatherings and the Corniche

Jeddah’s social life runs late, when the heat eases. That is when a dressier outfit earns its place: an angrakha with a soft overlap, a kalidar with a bordered hem, or a co-ord in a richer fabric. Embroidery is available at three levels on the quote form, from delicate work at the neckline and sleeves to bolder statement work for Eid and parties. Our fancy work page for Saudi Arabia explains how that is agreed.

If you are travelling up to cooler Taif in summer, or spend time in Makkah, our pages for Taif and Makkah cover those cities too.

Caring for suits in a damp climate

Humidity is hard on stored clothes as well as on the person wearing them. Let outfits dry fully before folding them away, keep embroidered pieces in breathable cotton bags rather than plastic, and open wardrobes now and then so damp air does not settle. Our guide to storing dupattas and embroidered suits covers folds, moths and mildew in more detail.

Ordering from Jeddah

Fill in the quote form for Saudi Arabia, add a picture or notes and your measurements, and mention the humidity if you would like our suggestion on fabric and lining. The quote comes in dollars, euros or pounds as you choose, includes delivery and any import charges, and is paid in full before we begin. We then take 5 to 7 working days to make your outfit, with courier time on top.

Common questions

Is chiffon too hot for Jeddah?

For all-day wear it can be, because chiffon is often polyester and does not absorb moisture. For an evening outfit it works well with a cotton lining, and a chiffon dupatta over a lawn kameez is a comfortable compromise.

Can you make a kameez longer than the brand’s design?

Yes, as long as the fabric allows it. Tell us the length you want and send photos of the pieces; we confirm in writing whether there is enough before anything is cut.

Do you deliver to Jeddah only, or the whole region?

We deliver anywhere in Saudi Arabia, including Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah and Taif. The courier delivery and any import charges are included in your written quote.
