Lectures, libraries and long walks uphill
The old university quarter sits at the top of a steep climb, so comfortable clothes matter. A knee-length kurta over straight trousers, or a co-ord with wide-leg trousers, works for lectures and for the walk up from the river. Hot Junes, cold stone
Being inland, Coimbra gets hotter in summer than the coast, so lawn and voile with elbow sleeves are the choice for exam season and beyond. Winters are cool and wet, and old stone buildings rarely feel warm, so a lined cambric or karandi kameez with full sleeves is worth having by November. The Portugal page compares the north and south.

Your written quote, in euros, dollars or pounds, includes delivery and any import charges, and making takes 5 to 7 working days after full payment, with shipping time on top.

We supply the agreed fabric and make your outfit to your measurements. One parcel: the finished outfit shipped to you.

Can you deliver to a student residence?
Yes. Give the residence address, your room number and a mobile number when the order goes ahead, so the courier can find you.
Do you have a tailor in Coimbra?
No. There is no tailor, shop or studio of ours in Coimbra. You measure at home using the size guide, and everything is agreed in writing before we cut.
