What a Porto winter asks for
From November to March, damp is the real enemy. A kameez in karandi or khaddar, full sleeves, a cotton lining and a straight trouser that sits neatly inside boots will see you through. Ask for a slightly longer kameez if you wear it under a raincoat, so the hem does not peep out unevenly. Darker grounds also hide the splashes of a rainy commute.
Summers are milder than in Lisbon, warm rather than scorching, with cool evenings by the river. Lawn or cambric with a dupatta you can wrap around your shoulders after sunset covers most of the season.
São João and family occasions
On the night of 23 June the whole city stays out for São João, with music, fireworks and crowds along the Ribeira. A relaxed co-ord with wide-leg trousers is comfortable for a night on your feet. For Eid or a dinner with family, one of our designs can be customised with the sleeves and lining you want for the season.

With Fabric + Stitching we source the fabric, so nothing needs posting. If you already own a suit, show us photos first; once we confirm it, you send it to Pakistan through CTT or a courier, and the outfit returns as a separate parcel. Do you have a tailor in Porto?
No. We have no tailor, shop or studio in Porto or elsewhere in Portugal. Everything is agreed online, made in Pakistan and sent to your address.
Which fabric copes best with Porto’s damp?
For winter, a lined karandi or khaddar kameez with full sleeves. Lawn is best kept for summer, perhaps with a cotton lining if it is sheer.
