Dry heat and the Fremantle Doctor
Perth summers are hot and dry, and the sea breeze known as the Fremantle Doctor often arrives in the afternoon to cool things off. Lawn is the natural choice in that heat, and because the air is dry, full sleeves still feel comfortable while keeping off the strong sun. Most of the year’s rain falls in winter, so from June to August a cambric or khaddar kameez with a lining is more practical.
For dinners and Eid gatherings, a kalidar kameez in lawn with a lightly embroidered hem has a panelled flare that keeps the air moving. Students at UWA or Curtin often prefer a short kurta for everyday wear.
A smaller time difference

Does it cost more to ship to Perth than to Sydney?
Shipping depends on the address, and the cost for yours is set out in your written quote, together with any import charges. There is nothing further to pay when it arrives.
Is there a shop of yours in Perth?
No. We have no shop, studio or tailor in Western Australia. You order online, and the outfit is made in Pakistan and couriered to you.
