Humid summers, easy winters
From December to February the air is warm and often heavy, and a southerly change can drop the temperature within an hour. Lawn and cambric cope with that best: they breathe on a crowded train and dry quickly on the line. Sydney winters rarely need heavy cloth, so a linen kameez with full sleeves and a light jacket covers most of June to August.
For an office in the CBD or North Sydney, a straight kurta with cigarette trousers looks smart without trying, and a short straight kurta with elbow sleeves is a sensible starting point. On campus at the University of Sydney, UNSW or UTS, a short kurta that sits well over jeans tends to get the most wear.

Whether your unstitched suit came from a shop in western Sydney, a brand website or a suitcase from Pakistan, Stitching Only turns it into something you can wear. Send us daylight photos first. Once we have confirmed the fabric suits your design and there is enough of it, we agree how it should travel; you then book the courier, name the fabric truthfully on the customs form and hold on to the tracking number.
The finished outfit returns to you in a second, separate delivery, with that shipping and any import charges already in your quote.

FAQ
Sydney questions
Can I see your work in person somewhere in Sydney?
No. We have no shop, studio or tailor in Sydney or anywhere in Australia. Everything is arranged online, agreed in writing, made in Pakistan and couriered to you.
Is it worth ordering for Eid from Sydney?
Yes, if you start early. Making takes 5 to 7 working days after you approve and pay, courier time to Sydney is added to that, and sending your own fabric adds a further journey. Put your date on the quote form so we can plan with you.
Will anything be due when the parcel reaches Sydney?
No. Your written quote includes delivery and any import duties, taxes and fees, so there is nothing extra to pay at the door.
