Cycling to class
Ghent University, one of the largest in Belgium, gives the city a big student population, and bikes are everywhere. For lectures and library days, a short kurti over jeans, or a straight kurta with trousers narrow enough to stay clear of the chain, is easy to live in; tell us you cycle and we set the side slits to suit. Damp winters and festival summers
Ghent’s weather is mild, often grey and wet, with winters that feel raw rather than bitter. A lined cambric or khaddar kameez under a coat sees you through. Summers are warm, and in July the Gentse Feesten fill the old town with ten days of music and street theatre; a lawn set is ideal for long days outside. For Eid or a family gathering, plan a dressier embroidered suit early.

Most people in Ghent order unstitched suits online or bring them back from Pakistan. For Stitching Only, contact us with photos before posting anything, so we can confirm the fabric, the quantity and the arrangements; then send it to Pakistan by a tracked service with an accurate customs declaration. The finished outfit comes back to your address as a separate shipment. With Fabric + Stitching, we supply the fabric.
Your quote includes delivery and any import charges, such as import VAT (btw) and the EU’s flat customs duty on low-value parcels, so there is nothing extra to pay on arrival; the Belgium page explains the rules. Antwerp has its own guide, and you can request a quote whenever you are ready.

Is there somewhere in Ghent I can be measured?
No. We have no shop, studio or measuring service in Ghent or anywhere in Belgium. You measure at home in centimetres or inches using the size guide, and the numbers are agreed with you in writing before cutting.
What should I choose for a Ghent winter?
A lined cambric for milder days, or khaddar or karandi for the coldest weeks, with enough ease for a warm layer underneath.
