Rain first, then cold
From autumn to spring, grey, wet and windy days are more common here than hard frost. That makes mid-weight fabric the everyday choice: cambric, linen or a light khaddar, lined if it is thin, under a waterproof coat, with karandi or marina for the coldest snaps. Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg draw students and researchers from across the world, as do engineering employers such as Volvo. Swedish office dressing is calm and practical, so a plain kurta with straight trousers, or a co-ord in a solid colour, fits in easily; see office-wear kurtas for ideas. Send photos first; once we have confirmed the fabric, the quantity and the arrangements, post it to Pakistan by a tracked service with an accurate customs declaration. That is the first of two separate shipping stages; the second brings your finished outfit to Gothenburg. With Fabric + Stitching, we supply the fabric instead.
Sweden is in the EU, so EU import rules apply when Tullverket clears your parcel. Your quote, issued in euros, US dollars or pounds sterling rather than kronor, includes delivery and any import charges, so there is nothing extra to pay when your parcel arrives, and the Sweden page explains the rules. Do you have a shop in Gothenburg?
No. We have no shop, studio or measuring service in Gothenburg or anywhere else in Sweden. Everything is ordered online, made in Pakistan to the measurements you send, and delivered to your address.
Should I give you my Swedish size?
Measurements work far better. A Swedish 38 follows the continental EU scale, not the UK one, so measure in centimetres with the size guide instead.
