Mild, damp and windy

Hard frost is rarer here than further north, but a wet wind off the sound makes a thin kameez feel colder than the thermometer suggests. A mid-weight cambric or linen kurta with a lining handles most of the winter under a good coat, and darker prints shrug off a rainy walk. Summer is long enough to justify a couple of lawn sets for evenings by the water.
