Fabric from the Breedstraat
Utrecht’s long-running fabric market on the Breedstraat, the lapjesmarkt, has stalls selling cloth by the metre, a good source of cotton or linen for a kurta or co-ord. Check how much you need before you buy; buying fabric by the metre for a kameez helps. An unstitched suit ordered online or brought back from Pakistan works just as well.
For Stitching Only, send daylight photos and measurements of each piece, and wait until we confirm the fabric, the quantity and the arrangements. Then post it to Pakistan by a tracked service with an accurate customs declaration. The finished outfit comes back to your Utrecht address as a second, separate shipment. With Fabric + Stitching, we supply the fabric instead.
Lectures, bikes and trains
Utrecht University, one of the largest in the country, has a big campus at Utrecht Science Park, a bike ride east of the centre, so a short kurti over jeans or a simple co-ord with trousers that stay clear of the chain is an easy everyday choice. Many people here commute by train to Amsterdam, Rotterdam or The Hague, and a kurta in a fabric that resists creasing arrives looking fresher (travel-friendly kurtas).
Weather, Eid and delivery

Do you have a shop in Utrecht?
No. There is no shop, studio or measuring service in Utrecht or anywhere in the Netherlands. You order online, and your outfit is made in Pakistan and delivered to your address.
Can I send fabric I bought by the metre?
Yes, if it is suitable and there is enough. Send photos with its length and width before posting anything, and we confirm the fabric, quantity and arrangements first.
