International workdays
Offices around the Place des Nations and the organisations near it favour polished, understated clothes. A straight kurta in cotton silk or cambric with wrist-length sleeves and slim trousers fits that setting well, and Western pieces can come in the same order through custom stitching. If you have a kurta whose shoulders and sleeves already suit you, send a photo and its measurements and we use it as a guide.
Receptions and national days
Missions in Geneva hold receptions throughout the year, and a long, elegant kameez is a confident choice for them. A calf-length kameez with a band collar and embroidery down the front works well, made in linen for spring or velvet for a December evening. If you have a picture of the look you want, send your design and we agree the neckline, sleeves and lining with you.
The bise, the lake and the seasons
The bise, a cold north-east wind that sweeps down the lake, can make a January day in Geneva feel far colder than the thermometer says, so a lined karandi or khaddar suit with full sleeves is worth having. Summers are warm and sunny along the quays near the Jet d’Eau, the right weather for lawn. In December the old town marks the Escalade, a good excuse for something warm and festive.
For Stitching Only, photograph your fabric and wait until we confirm it and agree how it travels before posting it to Pakistan with tracking. Can you make an outfit in time for a reception?
Give us the date when you ask for a quote. Making takes 5 to 7 working days once the quote is approved and paid, and shipping time is added, so start well ahead and leave room to agree the design.
Do you have a showroom in Geneva?
No. We have no showroom, shop or measuring service in Geneva or elsewhere in Switzerland. Orders are placed online, made in Pakistan and shipped to your address.
