Quick answers

Ordering from Switzerland

The questions customers ask before their first order, answered for your country.

What can I order?

Made-to-measure women’s clothing, cut and stitched to your own measurements: three-piece and two-piece shalwar kameez, kurtas and kameez, co-ords, Eid outfits, casual party wear and Western pieces such as dresses, skirts, tops and trousers. For Swiss life that could mean a neat kurta with straight trousers for an office in Zurich, a lined khaddar suit for a February in Bern, or a dressier kameez for a reception in Geneva.

Can I order just one suit?

Yes. Our minimum order is one suit, so a single outfit is a normal order. We do not send free samples: fabric, cut and finishing are agreed through photos, your notes and the written quote, and your first parcel is the finished outfit itself.

Can you provide the fabric?

Yes. Choose Fabric + Stitching and we supply the agreed fabric and make the outfit. Tell us how warm it needs to be and where you will wear it, and we share photos and descriptions of what we suggest with your quote. You then have nothing to post from Switzerland.

Can I send my own fabric?

Yes, subject to fabric suitability and sufficient quantity. With Stitching Only you post your fabric from Switzerland to us in Pakistan, and the finished outfit travels back to you as a second, separate shipment. Please send us photos before you post anything, so we can confirm the fabric, how much you need and how to send it.

How do I submit my measurements?

Type them into the quote form in centimetres, which is what Swiss tape measures show, or in inches if you prefer; just use one unit throughout. The size guide shows where each measurement is taken. A label size from a Swiss shop cannot stand in for them.

How are the design and fit agreed?

In writing, before any cutting. We go through the neckline, sleeves, lengths, trousers, lining and any embroidery with you and check your measurements, and the written quote lists every agreed detail. Nobody measures you in person in Switzerland, so a photo of a kameez that already fits you well is very useful.

Where is the clothing made?

In Pakistan. Each outfit is cut, stitched, finished and checked there, then shipped to your address in Switzerland. We have no shop, studio or tailor anywhere in Switzerland.

How long does it take, and what does shipping cost?

Making takes 5 to 7 working days, counted from when you approve and pay your quote in full, or with Stitching Only, from when your fabric reaches us. Shipping to Switzerland is added after that and varies, and its cost is already in your written quote. If you are ordering for Eid or a family event, put the date on the form.

Who handles import charges?

We do. Your written quote includes delivery to your address in Switzerland and any import duties, taxes and customs or courier fees on the parcel, so there is nothing extra to pay when it arrives. If a courier ever asks you for payment, contact us before paying anything.

How do I request a quote?

Use the Request a Custom Quote form with Switzerland selected. Add your town, the garment, Fabric + Stitching or Stitching Only, your measurements, design photos and notes. We reply with one written total in euros, US dollars or pounds sterling, as you choose, and you pay in full by bank transfer, Wise or a card payment link once you approve it.

Two ways to start

Your design, or one of ours

Send a photo of the outfit you want, or customise one of our designs. Either way it is cut to your measurements and shipped to Switzerland.

  • 01

    Have something in mind?

Upload a photo, a screenshot or a sketch. We’ll make it as a single piece, cut to your measurements, and agree every detail with you before we start.

  • 02

    Like one of ours?

Pick a design from our collection and change what you want: neckline, sleeves, length or lining. Same care, your version.

  • Single pieces welcome

One outfit is enough. No minimum bundle.

  • Full payment in advance

You pay once you’ve approved your quote, before we cut anything.

  • 5 to 7 working days to make

Production time only. Shipping is added on top.

  • Delivered worldwide

Delivery and import charges are included in your quote.

Two ways to order

Our fabric, or yours

Both are made to your measurements. The minimum order is one suit, and we don’t offer free samples.

  • Fabric + Stitching

We supply the agreed fabric and make your outfit to your measurements. One parcel: the finished outfit shipped to you.

    • Fabric agreed with you before cutting
    • Minimum order one suit
    • No need to send anything
  • Stitching Only

You supply suitable fabric, such as an unstitched suit, and we cut, stitch and finish it.

    • Two shipping stages: your fabric to us in Pakistan, then the outfit to you
    • Confirm suitability and quantity before sending
    • Minimum order one suit

In detail

Fabric, delivery and sizes in Switzerland

Outside the EU: what that means for your parcel

Switzerland is not a member of the EU, so the EU import arrangements described on our pages for Germany, France and Italy do not apply to a parcel delivered here. Your outfit leaves Pakistan and is cleared into Switzerland on arrival, and we have not set out Swiss customs rules on this page because we have not confirmed them from an official source. We do not give tax advice.

What we can say is our own policy: the written quote covers delivery to your Swiss address and any import duties, taxes and customs or courier fees on the parcel, so you are not asked to pay at the door. Courier time is separate from the 5 to 7 working days we take to make the outfit; our page on worldwide delivery explains how the two fit together.

Posting your own fabric from Switzerland

Many women here keep an unstitched suit or two from a trip to Pakistan, or order lawn sets online, and Stitching Only turns them into finished outfits. Photograph each piece in daylight first; photographing fabric for a quote shows what helps. We confirm that the fabric suits your design and that there is enough of it, and we agree how it should travel.

Only then do you post it to Pakistan, with a tracked international service from a post office or courier, an honest description such as “unstitched cotton suit, three pieces” and a true value on the customs form. Keep the tracking number. The finished outfit comes back as a separate shipment, and that return parcel is the one our quote covers for delivery and import charges. Posting your fabric for stitching covers packing.

Four languages, one set of measurements

Switzerland works in German, French, Italian and Romansh, so you may know what we do as Massanfertigung, sur mesure or su misura. The garment names stay the same: kameez, shalwar or straight trousers, and a dupatta. Swiss shops label women’s clothes on continental numbering, so a 38 in a Zurich department store tells us nothing about your sleeve length or where a kameez should fall. Measure yourself in centimetres with the size guide and our measuring guide.

Dressing for Swiss seasons

Winters are cold across most of the country, with grey fog sitting over the lowland cities for days and proper snow in the mountains. A lined kameez in khaddar or karandi, with enough ease for a thermal layer underneath, earns its place. Summers can be warm and bright, especially in Ticino and by the lakes, which is when lawn comes out; cambric and linen cover spring and autumn.

Our city guides for Zurich, Geneva, Basel, Bern and Lausanne go into local detail, and the same process works in Lugano, Lucerne or St. Gallen. When you are ready, request a quote for Switzerland.

Can I pay in Swiss francs?

Quotes for Switzerland are issued in euros, US dollars or pounds sterling, whichever you choose, and the whole order is paid in advance in that currency by bank transfer, Wise or a card payment link.

Is there anywhere in Switzerland I can try something on?

No. We have no shop, studio or measuring service in Switzerland. You measure at home using the size guide, we agree every number with you in writing before cutting, and the finished outfit is shipped to you from Pakistan.

Do EU import rules apply to my order?

No, Switzerland is outside the EU. We do not publish Swiss customs rules, but your written quote already includes delivery and any import charges on the parcel, so there is nothing extra to pay when it arrives.
