Pakistani suits in Germany: ordering made to measure
Ordering made-to-measure Pakistani suits in Germany: German sizes versus measurements, winter and office outfits, Eid, paying in euros and import charges.
InspirationMade-to-measure suits, ordered from Germany
If you want Pakistani suits in Germany that fit properly, the made-to-measure route is straightforward: send your measurements and design, choose a quote in euros, dollars or pounds, and an outfit stitched for you in Pakistan is shipped to your address, import charges included. There is no shop or tailor of ours in Germany, so the conversation happens online and every detail is confirmed in writing first.
It suits a country where Pakistani clothing is easy to find in a few neighbourhoods of Berlin or Frankfurt and hard to find almost anywhere else. The Germany page has the overview and city guides.
From Konfektionsgröße to measurements
German clothing sizes (36, 38, 40 and so on) are a useful shorthand in a shop, but they do not tell a tailor where your shoulders sit or how long your arms are. For a made-to-measure kameez, measure your body in centimetres and enter the numbers on the quote form: bust, waist, hip, shoulder, armhole, sleeve, kameez length and trouser length.
If you are between sizes in German shops, that is exactly where made to measure helps most. Our guide to ease explains how much room to add for the look you want, and the measuring help page covers asking us for guidance.
Outfits for a German winter
German winters are long and grey rather than dramatic, with cold snaps in the east and south. A practical wardrobe has a few lined winter kameez in khaddar or karandi, worn with straight trousers or cigarette pants that sit cleanly over ankle boots, and a coat long enough to cover the kameez. Our article on autumn layering covers the coat, cardigan and scarf combinations that work.
Ask for full sleeves that are narrow enough to slide into a coat, and think about kameez length against your coat length: a kameez that peeks out by a hand’s width looks intentional, while one that hangs well below a short jacket can look accidental.
Kurtas for the office
Many German workplaces are fairly formal, and a kurta with tailored trousers sits comfortably alongside a blazer. Plain or tone-on-tone fabrics, a band collar or round neck, and a knee-length straight cut give a clean line. Our guide to office-wear kurtas has more detail, and the band collar page shows one of the neater necklines.
If you like one of our designs but want it plainer for work, the customisation page for Germany explains what can be changed: neckline, sleeves, length, trousers, lining and the embroidery level.
Eid and summer weddings
Eid and family weddings are when most people in Germany reach for something more festive. Summer events suit lawn or cotton silk with a chiffon dupatta; Eid in the colder months calls for fuller sleeves and a warmer fabric, or a shawl chosen to go with the outfit. If you have a festive unstitched suit from Pakistan, the stitching page for Germany explains how to send it once we have confirmed it is suitable.
Euros, import charges and timing
Most customers in Germany choose a quote in euros, though US dollars and pounds sterling are available too. Payment is in full in advance by bank transfer, Wise or a card payment link. Since Germany is in the EU, import VAT applies to goods from outside the EU, and the temporary EU customs duty on low-value parcels from 1 July 2026 applies as well (European Commission). Both are covered by your quote, which includes delivery and any import duties, taxes and customs or courier fees.
Production takes 5 to 7 working days from approval and full payment; shipping to Germany is extra and varies. Customers order the same way from Berlin, Munich and Hamburg. Ask for a quote for Germany when you are ready.
Common questions
Can I pay in euros from Germany?
Yes. Customers in Germany choose euros, US dollars or pounds sterling, and the written quote is issued in that currency. Payment is in full in advance before work starts.
Will I have to pay import VAT or customs when my suit arrives in Germany?
No. Parcels from outside the EU are subject to import VAT and the EU customs rules, but your written quote includes delivery and any import duties, taxes and customs or courier fees, so nothing is due on arrival.
Should I give my German dress size?
You can mention it, but the outfit is cut from your body measurements in centimetres. The size guide shows where to measure each point.
