Hot days, cold nights
At around 700 metres above sea level, Granada has a sharper climate than the Andalusian coast. Summer afternoons are hot and dry, so lawn and voile cut loose are the obvious choice, but winter nights are properly cold, with snow on the Sierra Nevada. A cambric or khaddar kameez with full sleeves, and a shawl-weight dupatta, makes January comfortable.
The steep, cobbled streets of the Albaicín and the climb to the Alhambra are easier in a kameez with generous side slits and trousers that clear flat shoes; our guide to side slits explains the choices.
A city of students
The University of Granada draws students from all over Europe, many of them on exchange for a term or a year. A kurta over jeans, a linen co-ord with wide-leg trousers, or a relaxed two-piece in cambric works for lectures and long evenings out. If you are only here for a semester, tell us your leaving date when you ask for a quote, and we say whether the timing looks realistic before you commit.

Measure at home in centimetres with the size guide, ideally with a friend holding the tape. Then choose whether we supply the fabric or you send your own; for Stitching Only, nothing goes in the post until we have confirmed the fabric and the arrangements from your photos. Granada questions
I am an exchange student in Granada. Can I still order?
Yes. Give us the address in Spain where you will be when the outfit ships, and your leaving date, and we confirm the timing in your written quote before you pay.
Do you have a shop near the Alcaicería?
No. We have no shop, studio or tailor anywhere in Spain. Everything is made in Pakistan to the measurements you send and shipped to you.
