Rain, grey skies and a lining that earns its keep
Winters along the Nervión are mild rather than freezing, but damp, and summers are warm rather than scorching. That makes cambric, linen and a light khaddar more useful here than the thinnest lawn. Ask for full sleeves on a winter kameez, a cotton lining so a pale fabric does not cling on a muggy day, and straight or cigarette trousers that sit neatly over boots instead of trailing through puddles. From Deusto to Abando: weekdays and occasions
Between the University of Deusto, the faculties of the University of the Basque Country and the offices around Abando, a knee-length kurta over straight trousers is a quiet, practical choice for the working week. You can also start from one of our designs and customise it with full sleeves for the colder months.
For Eid or a friend’s wedding, a suit with embroidery at the neckline and sleeves suits an indoor celebration on a rainy day. In August, when Aste Nagusia fills the streets with concerts and fireworks, something lighter is easier to enjoy.

If you already own an unstitched suit, Stitching Only means posting it to us, but only after we have seen photos and confirmed it suits the design and that there is enough. FAQ
Bilbao questions
Is lawn too thin for Bilbao?
On its own, for most of the year, yes. Lawn works in the warm summer months, but from autumn to spring a cambric, linen or light khaddar kameez is more comfortable, or a lawn kameez with a cotton lining and full sleeves.
Can I be measured somewhere in Bilbao?
No. We have no shop, studio or tailor in the Basque Country. You measure yourself at home, in centimetres or inches, using the size guide, and every measurement is agreed in writing before cutting.
