Shopping in El Raval
The streets around the Rambla del Raval and Carrer de l’Hospital are lined with Pakistani grocers, restaurants and clothing shops. Whatever you find there, a branded three-piece, a length bought by the metre or a dupatta to match, can become a finished outfit through Stitching Only.
Before you post anything, send photos with your quote request and wait until we confirm the fabric, the quantity and the arrangements. It then goes to Pakistan by a tracked service with an accurate customs declaration, and the finished outfit comes to Barcelona as a separate shipment.
Dressing for humid heat
Barcelona summers are hot and humid rather than dry, and the sea air keeps them sticky well into September. That favours pure cotton lawn and voile, easy A-line and straight cuts, three-quarter sleeves, and cotton rather than polyester linings; our guide to summer outfits for hot weather has more ideas. Winters are mild, so a cambric or linen kameez with a light shawl covers most days, and heavy khaddar is rarely needed.
Planning for Eid
With Stitching Only, your fabric travels to Pakistan before the finished outfit travels to you, so Eid needs planning. Work backwards from the date with our Eid outfit timeline and ask for your quote early; production time and shipping are confirmed in writing. Your quote also includes delivery and any IVA or EU customs duty, so there is nothing extra to pay when your parcel arrives; the Spain page explains the rules, and Madrid has its own guide.

Do you have a shop or tailor in El Raval?
No. We have no shop, studio or tailor anywhere in Spain. Everything is made in Pakistan from the measurements you send, agreed with you in writing, and delivered to your address in Barcelona.
Is lawn enough for a Barcelona winter?
On milder days, with a layer on top. For the cooler weeks, choose cambric or linen, or add a light cotton lining to your lawn kameez.
Can you copy a kameez I already love?
Yes. Measure it lying flat, add the numbers to your quote request with photos of the neckline, sleeves and hem, and your new outfit is cut to match. The design is agreed with you in writing before anything is cut.
