Measuring yourself, with help if you want it
All you need is a soft tape and, ideally, someone to hold it straight across your back. Our size guide shows each measurement, and the page on body versus garment measurements explains why we ask for your body and add the ease ourselves. Centimetres or inches both work; just stick to one.

Stairs, lecture halls and lake weather
Anyone who has climbed the escarpment stairs or crossed the McMaster campus between lectures knows the value of trousers you can move in. Straight or wide-leg trousers with a knee-length kurta are comfortable all day, and a mid-thigh kurta pairs well with jeans.
Hamilton’s summers are humid and its winters snowy, so think of two wardrobes: lawn for July and a lined khaddar or marina suit for January. A short kurta and trousers works in either, with longer sleeves in winter.

Hamilton questions
What if I measure myself wrongly?
We check your numbers when we prepare your quote and ask about anything that looks unusual. Everything is agreed in writing before we cut, so you can correct a measurement at that stage.
Can I send a kurta that already suits me well?
Ask us first. Body measurements on the quote form are the usual route, and we will tell you whether anything else would help for your design.
