The Gilded Seam: Custom Women’s Stitching

Fabric + Stitching · Canada

Fabric and stitching in Canada

Outside the big shopping areas of the Greater Toronto Area and the Lower Mainland, a good choice of lawn, khaddar or karandi can be hard to find in Canada. Fabric + Stitching takes that problem away. Tell us what you want, and we source fabric for your design in Pakistan, make the outfit to your measurements, and courier it to you, so there is only one parcel and nothing for you to send.

  • Made in Pakistan, shipped to Canada
  • 5 to 7 working days to make, plus shipping
  • Quote currency agreed with you

From Canada

Fabric + Stitching for Canada

We supply the agreed fabric and make the whole outfit, so nothing has to be posted to us.

Sizes, delivery and sending fabric from Canada: ordering from Canada.

Choosing fabric for Canadian seasons

Tell us how cold or hot it will be when you wear the outfit. For a humid Ontario or Quebec summer, lawn and cambric are the coolest. For autumn and the long winter, khaddar, karandi and marina are warmer, and velvet suits a dressy winter evening. On the West Coast, where rain is the issue more than frost, mid-weight cotton and linen are useful most of the year.

We share photos and descriptions of the fabric we propose with your quote. There are no free samples, and the fabric is agreed with you in writing before cutting.

Why one shipment helps

With your own fabric, the suit has to travel from Canada to Pakistan and the outfit back again. Fabric + Stitching avoids the first journey altogether: no packing, no declaration form to fill in on your side and no waiting for your parcel to arrive before work can start. Production begins once your quote is approved and paid in full.

Your quote includes the fabric, the stitching, delivery to your Canadian address and any import charges, in the currency agreed with you. Fabric is only supplied as part of an outfit we make; it is not sold on its own. See our Fabric + Stitching page for the general details.

How it works

Fabric + Stitching step by step

  1. 01

    Tell us what you want

Send your design or pick one of ours, and describe the fabric you would like, for example lawn, cotton or chiffon. We tell you what we can source for your design.

  2. 02

We source and show you the fabric

We share photos and descriptions of the fabric with your quote. There are no free samples, and nothing is cut until the fabric is agreed.

  3. 03

Approve, pay and we make it

Your written quote includes the fabric, the stitching, delivery and any import charges. Once it is paid in full, we make the outfit in 5 to 7 working days.

  4. 04

    One parcel to your door

Fabric and stitching both happen in Pakistan, so the finished outfit reaches you in one shipment.

  • Single pieces welcome

One outfit is enough. No minimum bundle.

  • Full payment in advance

You pay once you’ve approved your quote, before we cut anything.

  • 5 to 7 working days to make

Production time only. Shipping is added on top.

  • Delivered worldwide

Delivery and import charges are included in your quote.

Can I ask for a specific colour?

Yes. Describe the colour, or send a photo, and we tell you what we can source for your design. The fabric is shown to you in photos with your quote before anything is cut.

Can you match a fabric I saw in a Canadian shop?

Send us a photo and we will tell you what we can find that is similar. We cannot promise an exact match, and the fabric is agreed with you before cutting.
