Cooler than Paris

Reims sits on an open chalk plain, and its winters feel a little colder and windier than Paris. A khaddar or marina suit with full sleeves, or a lined cambric kameez, is useful from late October to March. Spring and summer are mild to warm, good for cotton and linen, and lawn for the hottest weeks. Our page on autumn layering with kurtas shows how to wear a kurta under a coat.

Commuters and students

If you take the train to Paris, a crease-resistant cotton blend in a straight kurta looks fresh at the end of the journey. Students at the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne or the business school often prefer a co-ord or a short kurti. For Eid, a dressier embroidered suit with a warm dupatta suits a winter or spring celebration.

Choose Fabric + Stitching if you have no fabric. If you buy an unstitched suit in Paris, send us photos first, then post it to Pakistan once we confirm, with La Poste or a courier. The France page covers EU import rules; your quote includes delivery and any import charges.

Yes. Embroidery, lace and borders can be added to an outfit we are stitching, at a delicate, detailed or statement level, agreed in writing in your quote.
