If you would rather have that fabric cut to your own measurements than settle for a standard size, The Gilded Seam stitches it in Pakistan and ships the finished outfit to your address in Paris. There is no shop or measuring service in the city; everything is agreed online and in writing.

From La Chapelle to a finished outfit
You might pick up a suit length near La Chapelle or the Passage Brady, buy cotton by the metre at the Marché Saint-Pierre, or order an unstitched three-piece online. All of it can become a finished outfit through Stitching Only. Send daylight photos first and wait for us to confirm the fabric, quantity and arrangements, then post it to Pakistan by a tracked service with an accurate customs declaration. The finished outfit reaches Paris as a separate shipment.
Paris weather, Paris offices
Paris summers can be properly hot, while winters are grey, damp and chilly rather than bitter. Lawn carries you through the warmest weeks; for most of the year a cambric or linen kameez is more useful, and khaddar earns its place from November (winter fabrics guide).
Parisian work dressing is pared back, so a knee-length kurta with slim cigarette trousers, or a plain co-ord in a quiet colour, fits right in, whether at a desk in La Défense or a lecture at the Sorbonne.
French sizes and what arrives at your door
A 38 from a Paris boutique is not a UK size and tells us little about where your sleeves should end, so measure yourself in centimetres using the size guide. Your written quote sets out production time and includes delivery and any import charges, such as TVA and the EU’s flat duty on low-value parcels, so there is nothing extra to pay when your parcel arrives. We supply the agreed fabric and make your outfit to your measurements. One parcel: the finished outfit shipped to you.

Is there anywhere in Paris I can take my fabric?
No. We have no address, shop or measuring service in France. For Stitching Only, you post your fabric to Pakistan once we have confirmed it, and the finished outfit is shipped to you in Paris.
Can you make an outfit for Eid?
Yes. Because Stitching Only means fabric travelling to Pakistan before the outfit comes to Paris, ask for a quote early and tell us your date; production time and shipping are confirmed in writing before you commit.
Do you make Western pieces as well?
Yes. Dresses, skirts, tops and trousers are made to measure in the same way, and so is a long tunic over slim trousers.
