Dressing for the northern weather
Lille’s climate is mild but damp, with rain spread through the year and plenty of grey days, so the warmer outfits are the ones you will wear most. A cambric or light khaddar kameez with full sleeves, a lining where the fabric is thin, and straight trousers that sit neatly over boots will see you through most months, and lawn has its moment in the warmest weeks of summer. Eid al-Fitr moves about eleven days earlier each year and now falls in late winter or early spring, so a warm embroidered suit with a shawl is often the better Eid choice. Students, offices and the Braderie
With the Université de Lille and the business district around Euralille, much of the city dresses for lectures and desks: a knee-length kurta with slim trousers, or a plain co-ord under a coat, suits both. When the Braderie fills the streets on the first weekend of September, a cotton kurta with a layer for the evening is a practical choice.

With Fabric + Stitching we supply the fabric; with Stitching Only you send your own. For Stitching Only, send daylight photos first and post nothing until we have confirmed the fabric, the quantity and the arrangements; it then travels to Pakistan by a tracked service with an accurate customs declaration, and the finished outfit comes to Lille as a separate shipment. Your written quote, in euros, US dollars or pounds as you choose, sets out production time and includes delivery and any import charges, such as TVA and the EU’s flat duty on low-value parcels, so there is nothing extra to pay when your parcel arrives. Is there a shop or couturière in Lille?
No. There is no shop, atelier or couturière in Lille. Everything is ordered online, made in Pakistan to your measurements and delivered to your address.
