Built for the southern heat
From June into September, a loose lawn or voile kameez with elbow sleeves and a wide shalwar lets the air through, and a linen kurta with straight trousers looks crisp for work; our linen guide explains why it suits heat. The vent d’autan, the warm wind that blows in from the south-east, can make a long dupatta unruly, so a shorter stole or one you can pin is easier on gusty days. Winters are gentle enough that a cambric kameez with a light layer usually does the job.

Engineers in the aerospace sector and students at the city’s universities tend to want clothes that look composed without effort: a knee-length kurta, cigarette trousers and a quiet colour. I wear a French 40. Is that enough?
No, please measure instead. A French size tells us nothing about your sleeve length, the length you want for the kameez or the ease you like. Measure in centimetres using the size guide.
Which currency is the quote in?
The one you choose: euros, US dollars or pounds sterling. Payment is made in full before work starts, by bank transfer, Wise or a card payment link.
