Hot summers, cold winters
Lyon sits where the Rhône meets the Saône, and its weather swings further than Paris’s: summers can be very hot, while winters are cold and grey. That calls for two weights. Lawn and fine cotton, cut loose, see you through July and August; from late autumn, a khaddar or karandi suit with full sleeves, or a lined cambric kurta under your coat, is warmer. Ordering from Lyon
For Stitching Only, send daylight photos first and post nothing until we have confirmed the fabric, the quantity and the arrangements. Then send it to Pakistan by a tracked service, with La Poste or a courier, and an accurate customs declaration; the finished outfit comes to Lyon as a separate shipment. If you would rather post nothing, choose Fabric + Stitching. Your written quote, in euros, US dollars or pounds as you choose, confirms production time and includes delivery and any import charges, such as TVA and the EU’s flat duty on low-value parcels, so there is nothing extra to pay when your parcel arrives. Do you have a shop or couturière in Lyon?
No. There is no shop, atelier or couturière in Lyon or anywhere else in France. Everything is ordered online: you send your measurements, we agree the design in writing, and your outfit is made in Pakistan and delivered to your address.
Can you stitch pure silk?
Often, yes, subject to fabric suitability and sufficient quantity. Send close-up daylight photos and tell us how much fabric you have, and we confirm whether it suits the design before you post anything.
